I don't think they will either. But if Carolina can make it this far, who knows what other surprises we might have?

nfl clique on 19:11 - Jan 12 with 4734 views | basilrobbiereborn | I only saw one live game at the weekend, but the Pats/Ravens match was an absolute classic, and if you haven't seen it watch the highlights to see one of the most innovative TDs I've ever witnessed. I suppose the only surprise really was the Colts winning in Denver. Should be two very close games next weekend ; I'm cautiously going for a Patriots/Seahawks double.

Two classic play-off games last weekend put "soccer" in the shade. Firstly the Pats scraped past the Ravens, who have a habit of making late runs to the Championship, then Super Bowl. Belichik is a master at interpreting the rules, although is often accused of doing so in an unprincipled manner. He did announce the RB as an ineligible receiver, but gave the Ravens hardly any time to adjust before the snap. Legal, but, arguably, not within the spirit of the game. Having said that, he managed to bring the Pats back into the game on two occasions and they will be, I fear, too strong for an admittedly resurgent Colts. Think the key to the NFC Championship matchup will be the extent of Aaron Rodgers' injury. The 'Hawks defense is intimidating enough, without the incentive of an unfit opposing QB, although the Pack's O/line did a tremendous job in protecting Rodgers last week against the Cowboys, who were also the victims of a controversial call. Fascinating stuff and have to agree with Robbie's prediction for the showdown in Arizona

Great post spooner, you summarise it really well. I think my prediction will hold good, but I wouldn't put a lot of money on it - there are four very strong sides left in it. It's been a marvellous season actually - I've watched a lot of it on C4 and can rarely remember a year I've enjoyed more.

nfl clique on 22:57 - Jan 15 with 4552 views | seasider13 | Getting interesting, I think the Seahawks will prevail over the Packers because Aaron Rodgers is hobbling with a calf injury, whilst on paper brr's Pats should do the bizzo against the Colts, but, i like this Colts qb, maybe his LUCK will come true.

I think Rogers' injury problems may be a crucial factor in a relatively low scoring game (cue 41-38). The other game is much harder to call, but with two such talented QBs you've got to expect fireworks. Seattle 23 Green Bay 13 New England 31 Indianapolis 21 I'll be amazed if I'm even close.

Closer than you think robbie, the New York bookies who are normally very good at predicting scores have the Pats winning by 6.5 and the Seahawks by 7, but hey, you never know. Personally when every man and his dog are betting on the Pats and Seahawks, i go the other way and bet the complete opposite, Anyway, two classic match ups coming your way.

This is a much more difficult prediction league than the one involving our beloved Seasiders, I'm afraid. Would agree with Robbie that Seattle and New England SHOULD make it, but will be surprised if there aren't a few twists along the way. OK, here we go. Green Bay starts strongly, but Rodgers' injury inhibits his performance and the 'Hawks defense takes control. Packers 20 - Seahawks 24 Indy stuns Patriots with two first-half touchdowns. Brady rallies New England and they get on the board before half-time. Colts hold on until 4th. Quarter when New England ties it 17-17. 80-yard touchdown wins it in Overtime for..................................................... I'll be even more amazed if either game goes as I suggest!!!!

Booked tomorrow off work to stay up and watch these games. I think the Seahawks will beat the Packers. Rodgers would struggle fully fit against the Seahawks' defence with 2 good legs - let alone one. The other game I feel will be closer to call. I genuinely fancy Luck and the Colts to beat the Patriots. They are so solid in all departments. The Patriots were a "little" bit lucky even though their 2 comebacks from a 14 deficit was incredible against Dallas last weekend.

Pats being investigated for playing with flat balls, making them easier to catch in the wet conditions. Unlike them.

With a 45 - 7 scoreline its hardly an issue, especially if it makes the ball easier to catch, then surely it would help on an interception play.
