How did the kids play? Logan, Kisimba, Hasler-Cregg, Hooper and Bell especially? Did anyone see who was on the bench? Cheers.

They all played reasonably well against a mixture of seniors and youthful Blackpool players. (I didn't manage to get a team sheet so can't be certain how many of the Blackpool players were seniors, but looking at them I'd say they were more or less split.) Logan played at right back but came forward on a number of occasions and showed glimpses of what we know Joel can do. Hasler-Cregg showed some nice touches and was unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions. Hooper has got a great left foot but didn't really get into a position to use it today; again had a couple of good efforts especially the header near the end. Bell is as strong as an ox and used it well at times when shielding the ball. He can be a bit frustrating at times but I think there is something about him. Kisimba is fairly small and usually plays midfield but yesterday played at the back alongside BBM and then at right back later on in the game. He really impressed me yesterday. Subs (not used) were, I think, Reid, Diba, Akinwale-Samuels, Sinclair. These are only my views and I know nowt about football! Hilly and Beech, who were also present, may, and probably will, have seen things differently. I might add that the penalty takers included Hooper, Tanser, Camps and Bell. For players so young (I know it was only a 'minor' match but all the same) they were very cool; particularly Bell for the decider. [Post edited 16 Apr 2015 13:42]

Well hope they cause a massive upset against Under 21 Premier League Champions Kinda shocked taking friendly more serious against a conference side rather than a competitive match against U21 Premier League Champions but i can see the youth team benefit and learning more than our 1st team will against little Macclesfield Town

Definitely going to be a reserve/youth team fixture then as we play Coventry in the League Cup the night before, although assume the same will also apply to Bury.
