Good lucky Danny you were as good a free transfer as any.

You knew what you would get with Simpson - a 6 or 7 out of 10 every week and very few mistakes. However, very limited going forwards.

At the end of the day we need to balance the books and that sometimes means selling players who might still have some use, like with Gorkks and Mackie in previous seasons. But unfortunately until the likes of SWP disappear we will always need to make some money on players we like as you can't even give SWP away.

If we got 2 mil plus for Simpson then it's a good amount of profit for one seasons work.
