Gylfi and Gomis..... on 21:18 - Jun 22 by Drizzy | There is absolutely no chance that we sign Gomis. He's demanding wages that will far exceed our current wage structure and will not play second fiddle to Bony. Gylfi is an interesting proposition and one that depends on the long-term health of Michu. I'd rather spend the money on a more versatile option like de Guzman if Michu is fully fit for next season. |
Yeah that'll be it. | |

Apparantly it's £5million signing on fee and 35/40k a week. We get a player for £3million cheaper than we bid last season and it doesn't beak our wage budget. The club will not beak the wage budget for anyone.

It's been a bit more than a few hundred Bob since I started watching the Swans in 1977. Whilst you're just a student from Newport moved up to London with no connection to the club at all. What are you even doing on here? There must be other hobbies for you to take up, surely?

I feel the same. Every player we sign from here on forward who is experienced and is confident of his abilities will demand the same amount of money over 4 years.

If every player we sign from now have Bafi's pedigree and are available on a free transfer, then why would we be uncomfortable with that?

I have no idea why you're making it personal. If you don't like my opinion on the matter then challenge my argument rather than taking potshots. I have no idea why a middle aged man is chasing a teenager around a football forum because he disagrees with him, surely you have a family to spend time with on this Saturday afternoon?

It's concrete which hasn't yet solidified. I am now done with this specific conversation. Back on topic, I'd be happy to see us pay up to £8m for Gylfi.

I'd be happy with that too, but wouldn't want our Ben to in any way be involved in the deal.

Hmm, these exorbitant wages and fuelled and paid for by Sky. As long as we are not over committing on wages then it's a good deal. We have to compete in the PL market, where all teams are essentially funded by Sky, with a few exceptional sugar daddies thrown in ;)

So what's the issue with that? If we get 4 good years out of him, which is altogether likely, why is that a problem?
