Potential Transfer Targets 16:45 - May 25 with 34230 viewseghamranger

TF and HR have apparently had this conversation.

Who would you like? Or is anyone itk?

Realistic only. When asked about Remy on SSN he did a politicians answer and said the circs have no changed....is that cos we got promoted, would love to keep him and play Austin and him upfront.

Ahmed Musa being linked today.. only 21 and has some serious pace. Been impressed with him in the World Cup and he played well against Manure in the champions league. However he would cost a lot i think.

Aaron Cresswell going to West Ham for £2.5m.

Peanuts for a quality young English left-back.

Exceptional signing for that money, top player.

Williams signed a new 4 year deal at Swansea too

Makes the £30m Man Utd paid for Luke Shaw look utterly bonkers!

I hate Williams agent, he always uses us to get his client a new contract!

Reading a book that Northern lent me called 'The Nowhere Men' - In that they say Arsenal were offered Shaw when he was 15/16 for 2 million and turned him down.....

It's brilliant btw and has lashings of QPR refeences through Sterling, Mel Johnson, Mike Rigg, etc....

Been meaning to read that for a while. Isn't Gary Penrice supposed to be quite a big deal in the scouting world now?

Yeah he's in the book, I think he was freelance at the time of the book, or with Stoke. Now he's a European scout for Everton. There are loads of ex players in it that are now popping up as scouts. Including George Santos!

On potential transfers, are we as a club in a position to improve players? Take Hoilett for example, bags of ability, potential but I'd say he is no better than when we signed him, maybe worse (and I'm a fan). I believe the players we sign have to have the inner character to want to achieve and better themselves as I feel we are not able to coach a player to improve like Brendan Rodgers/ Roberto Martinez would.

Therefore I see HR only bringing in ready made options and wouldn't expect anyone relatively unknown. It is absolutely imperative that we get our scouting and coaching sorted but I guess it's already been said.

Anyone for the OP, Clement Grenier from Lyon, Newcastle strongly linked but every so often flights to St James stop off at Loftus Road??? Game of FIFA should do it!

Latest is Eduardo. People said he was finished after that tackle but still constantly scoring goals. I wouldn't say no.

Never knowingly right.

Are you serious !!! this MB would go into meltdown if we signed him
apart from last season 13 goals in 30, he has done nothing ,

Kolbeinn Sigthorsson from Ajax. Apparently we are there in talks about him. Whether that is talks with the club or some blokes down the local pub I don't know.

Never knowingly right.

Can't believe this thread is still about after I started it months ago. Think we have got 2 decent ones in. If we can get Mutch, Fer, keep Remy and get another striker in, we will do well.
I'm unsure/ don't know the Ajax bloke and don't think Troy Deeney is £10 million, Morrison now in prison and Holtby probably staying at spurs, I still wouldn't mind Crouch for a million. Think he would give you a different option and score goals in the PL.

Would be begging City to lend us Bruno Zucculini for the season. Decade too young for our Arry of course.

You're right. He gave that Tom Carroll a wide steer too didn't he?

When the going got tough, he absolutely did and resorted back to the tried and tested names . Doyle on the wing anyone?

Not sure if Forshaw is ready for the Prem but he's a great prospect. But Wigan would be closer to home.

Bowyer has come out and stated that he doesn't know if Rhodes will still be at Blackburn come the end of the transfer window... I thought he only just signed a new deal? If they are entertaining offers (reasonable ones), and Remy still goes as expected, it could be a good way to spend the proceeds...

So this summer, had a clear out and got in Rio, Caulker, Mutch and Isla. Looks at the mo we are keeping Remy too. I reckon we need another midfielder and a striker. Fer and Crouch would do me. Thoughts?

Well Crouchy ain't gone to Spam so that's possible,it's got an air of inevitability about it,last ditch signing.Yeah, the pair of them as a last resort, why not.

Think Fer will prefer us to Soton as they have sold their first team. Crouchy is the right sort, ex Harry boy and is local.

Aaron Cresswell we missed a trick with. Will play LB for West Ham next season and England setup within two years IMO. Zaha is a very good player but would depend on what happens with Taarabt or if indeed Harry could be arsed with him.
