Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse

'Bring your boots' has often been the joke at Bloomfield Road - but now it looks like it's a reality. After Grant Hall and Joe Lewis hobbled off in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Reading, Lee Clark has confirmed that is the last we'll see of both players.

The two loanees will presumably return to their parent clubs Spurs and Cardiff respectively and chances are that is the last time you'll see either in a Blackpool shirt. The prospects of trips to Ipswich, Derby and Cardiff probably made their decision a lot easier.

It means Ell Parrish will be in goal for the remainder of the season and Niall Maher will now make up a back four which has little room for change. Our opponents must be rubbing their hands with glee and the possibility of an 18 games without a win end of season run now looks a realistic one for Lee Clark's side.

This follows the news earlier today that Michael Jacobs has returned to Wolves

How will Man City react to Rodri blow?
Manchester City midfielder Rodri is arguably the best at what he does in world football. Fresh off the back of yet more success with City last season and with Spain at the Euros in the summer, it was expected the Spaniard would be back to lead the charge for Pep Guardiola’s side this term. But his season is already over due to a serious knee injury.
Toney’s Future On Hold Until After The Euros
Ivan Toney is expected to be the subject of a lot of interest this summer, with his Brentford future in doubt. The striker, who has been a revelation since joining The Bees, has spoken of his desire to challenge himself at the highest level possible, but talks on his future will now be put on hold because of Euro 2024.
