Dickinson signs for season
Liam Dickinson, the hero for Stockport County in the Play Off final against Dale in 2007-8, has signed on loan for Dale for the rest of the season from Championship club Barnsley.
Dickinson certainly needs no introduction to Dale supporters who will be well aware from his efforts at Stockport, with the aforementioned Play Off final where he grabbed the all important third goal on the day.
Since leaving Stockport, he has had something of a nomadic football career. A big money move to Derby didn't work out for him, and he was forced to make do with a number of loan spells before signing a two year contract with Barnsley in the Summer in a £150,000 transfer.
The 25 year old striker was in the Barnsley side that lost to Dale in the first round of the League Cup this season.
