The last time the top two met in this division, the Swans triumphed 2-1 at Southend who have slid gradually down the table since then and we have to hope for a similar result against a side who have been too scared to face us since John Hollins team of non-entertainers cruised past them 6-0 at the Vetch back in 2001. Now that was embarassing for them!
Brentford will go top if they beat us on Boxing Day and it really is a case of last man standing as both sides feel the strain of the Turkey (enough about Ijah Anderson?) to test their squad to the limits.
The Swans will be decked in the Christmas presents bought back by Bayo from his extended pre-Christmas break whilst Brentford are down to just a mutants handful of fit players by all accounts.
It really is difficult to say too many bad things about Brentford as they are effectively another one of these sides that have no real stereotype. Even their manager Martin Allen hails from Reading another pretty indescript place. Slowly running out of ideas....... (Scouser Tranmere fan smirking in the corner?)
Transport could be interesting for the game with no real public transport of note available and only 7 official coaches travelling with an expected away support of 1700. That is one hell of a lot of hitch hikers or Caravans travelling up the motorway for the game. Taken plenty of cold turkey sandwiches you could be in for a long haul!
Anyway, I am about to end this preview. Not because they have no stereotypes but because its Christmas Eve and there really is better things to do than keep writing this. I'm back off to check the Santa-cam I have a ETA at my house of 02.24GMT and he is slightly behind schedule but a tail wind across Australia should see him make that up early doors.
Here's to a great Christmas for Swans fans and if Santa doesn't bring what you want then just remember we're a massive club and he knows it.
Have a good one!
