I was telephoned today by a very nice young man from MTFC (my wife thought he was going to ask me to play for them on Saturday, but no) As I had previously signed up for Silkmen Player for a free trial he was wondering if I would be interested in another offer of, I believe it was, 6 months for £4.99. I told him no but he didn't query why. I wish he had because the commentaries are absolute rubbish. Now I know they are volunteers and not professional, but it is not possible to listen to it. I would rather give my £4.99 direct to the club. I already do Gold bond 50/50 season ticket etc etc. So how can we Player haters give the club our money not to have to listen to it. Rant over. So we lost. Does anyone think that it gives us an opportunity for the FA and the league to organise the game differently in this country. IMHO it is ludicrous for some players to be getting obscene sums of money and others in the same set up to be on peanuts. The difference between Premiership and Division 2 clubs needs evening out at all levels. Division 2 games are, or can be really exciting. It's what football is all about, but for friendly clubs like ours to be struggling financially when up the road are clubs able to spend money like it's going out of fashion. The media must play it's part also, for the BBC not to be able to even get our Managers name right is appaling. What can we do about it, seriously any suggestions welcome. |

OK so no one replied to "What do you think about tomorrow" So what did you think about today? Come on I'm trying to get some chat going on this site. I thought it was diabolical, but I just hope it doesn't sap the confidence of our young players too much. We could have done with a bit more luck in the draw but we got a good on form team away. Ah well lets put it behind us and get behind the Blues!!!! |

Do you think they are all getting wrong advice. John did himself no favours and it looks as if Wayne is also digging himself into a hole. Maybe he'll tout himself around the US of A. Lets hope so because I'm fed up with him. Can't play, can't stay faithful, can't string two words together. If thats what riches brings I'm glad I'm poor! |

I see we've signed a defender from Everton on a months loan. Hope he plays tomorrow. Mind you the way Everton are playing I'm not sure they can spare anyone. Welcome to MTFC though Aristote Nsiala. Let's use our brains to think up a welcoming chant for Oxford. |

I must say I enjoyed every minute. I've not been a fan of Colin Daniel but today at left back he played a blinder. If we were'nt quite so hesitant in front of goal we could have had a hatful. Well done everyone concerned, and whatever you'er doing

What does anyone think about bringing Sappleton back. I know he's supposed to be unfit and not motivated, but a run out in the first team would be an excellent motivation and we need someone up front who doesn't get easily pushed off the ball. We don't particularly need a sprinter in the middle we need them on the wings. Considering our dearth of goals I think it's worth trying! |
