| Forum Thread | A match thread anyone? Stockton v Rochdale FA trophy at 16:00 8 Jan 2025
Just seen on X that the Referee has confirmed the GAME IS ON! yippee, at last some action. Did n't know it was in any doubt. Really Good Luck to the Team and especially any of our travelling fans, stay sober apparently it's icy underfoot. Let's get cracking and attacking. |

Totally agree, they let the fans down gently and with a full explanation and an APOLOGY! Here its :" Game off : Frozen Pitch/waterlogged, if you paid in cash go the Club for a refund" |

I feel sorry for the fans who paid in cash and are now instructed to trundle back to the Club for a refund, without so much as a hint of an apology. I know it will not be many but one disgruntled fan is suffice, with Project 5000 on topic, Yes? |

Also, if we survive the Stockton game, we might just get a chance to see first hand, what £138k of benefit Spennymoor Town gained from the super pitch covers? |

How do you do it Maestro? Now, about the hits of Belinda Carlyle? |

Some interesting fallers at the Trophy 4th Round.....Barnet,York,Gateshead....all knocked out....perhaps with greater things in mind. |

Well, we are looking quite the Tinpot Club right now......the modus operandi of the Club is to play football and have not kicked a ball in anger since 17th Dec on our own midden. If we can beat Stockton next week, will we be praying for an away trip in the next round so soggy Spotty can drain or thaw out? When we had the last expensive pitch work done, under BotBot's regime was it not revealed to everyone's amazement that there were no drains. Is this still the case? |

That picture on the Official site is a little worrying, is there already frost into the grass/ground? Is it recent or a stock picture? Either way not prompting a positive outcome of said inspection? |

Not a forgone conclusion, my mutual Yorkshire residing fan.....when we played them away, it was our own fault that we were half asleep for the first few minutes and gifted the 3 points. Watched them at the Shay a few weeks ago and Halifax were robbed, or better still tired dramatically in last few minutes. All to play for? |

Both Clubs "going all out" it appears.....watched Latics v H'pool live a few days ago and Stones was one of the better Latics players. Norwood did nought. Fondop had one decent chance and Clucas was just busy. Latics play York on the 21st Jan, that will be one to observe? |

....a brief upbeat message from the Club might help? |

Always difficult to quantify in terms of ££ lost but it's much more than that Jimbo, it's the loss of goodwill and fan dissatisfaction which is hard to re-coup. Don't you think?? |

Ahead of the 4th Rd of the FA Trophy (hopefully) on Saturday, Stockton Town started the New Year with a 0-2 win at Whitby Town in front of a crowd of 826. Now 7th in NPL Premier League. I think that with our fans starved of live footie over Christmas period we should get a decent turnout. Suspect the decision to close the Sandy will remain. Just hope our super groundstaff can still get the game on. |
