If you didn’t know the name and heard we were in for a youngish striker from a promotion chasing team in the division below who’d scored a dozen goals I’m sure most of us would be delighted. I say give him a chance in preseason and let Marti have a good look at him. If he’s still not fancied it seems like we’d be able to sell him on for a few quid. |

I’ve seen Marsh and Bowles but for me it’s another vote for Gerry. In the team at 17, best player by 19 (and this was a great team) and England captain by early 20s |

My grandparents lived opposite the White City on westway when I was a kid. They got moved to Barnes when their council house was demolished to make way for the flyover. |

Thread | Saito, stick or twist?

Just over half way through the season and I wonder what the opinion of the board is regarding whether to retain Saito for next season or not.
First up, I just love the bloke, always smiling, getting stuck in and his little bows when substituted. I can’t wait until he gets, hopefully, his first goal.
But would I keep him? Reluctantly, I’d have to say no. I don’t think he influences games enough and would be looking for someone else next season. Having said 🤞 he has a great end of the season and changes my mind. |

Is there any LOGICAL reason why our game tonight has been moved for Sky transmission? It’s being screened at the same time as their flagship “MNF” program which is showing a live Premier League game. I just can’t see anyone tuning into this isn’t a supporter of either team and the viewing figures will be woeful, so why move and televise this fixture? |
