Allen back in Wales contention?
at 18:53 26 Sep 2024

We can't keep him fit for us and avoiding the extra toll onhis body was why he retired from internationals.

It's entirely up to him but it will be bad for the Swans.

Letting prisoners loose
at 18:51 26 Sep 2024

I can agree there. Early release for good behaviour has been a bugbear for me for ages. I'd go the other way, behave badly and have your sentence extended.

My coson got community service for drink driving, he spent his time litter picking. It didn't stop him, he has a string of DD offences and comstantly avoids prison because he has a lot of kids by several different women. It would cause them hardship see.

Service ! Best and worst restaurant you have ever been to ?
at 19:11 25 Sep 2024

There are 2 best, Charlie's in Florida and also a local fish restaurant, great service, great food and being the USa, massiv portions too.

In Charlies I had chocolate fudge cake and it was so big it took 3 of us to finish it, a porterhouse steak perfectly cooked and also massive with the steak taking a whole plate and the rest coming on another plate, there was also free refills on coffee.

Worst was the local Harvester in Llandarcy. Told the waitress, on being told our son had a nut allergy told us it was our problem! I don't suppose she still works there 4 years later.

Luke Williams really isn’t sure about his squad. Free agent update and Bristol
at 17:53 25 Sep 2024

Yeah, give him a start not just "a go" because we've seen in the past players get a go and be on for 2 or 3 mins, sometimes not coming in until injury time and how are they supposed to show anything then?

Be brave, give him a start. No point putting any player on the bench if you've no intention if using them.

We got stuck, we were coming off at the next junction to take the A46, we could have come off a bit earlier but then, we didn't know about the sheep at that point, then the traffic came to a standstill and we were 3 mile short of the junction but agonisingly just a few hundred yards past the last one.

Made it in time though.

The parking is a real rip off at the arena, they charge 16.50 for 24 hours but charge away fans 18 quid!

Well yes, the doctors got 22% so the nurses, quite rightly in my opinion, feel they should get the same, or at least somewhere near.

Starmer has to shut the unions up, we cannot have bell ends like Lynch having that power.

I'm a fan of unions but not so much the eople that ise to the top, all too ften they are just like politicians, in it for themselves.
I still look at what Alan Johnson did to us at the CWU then went into politics and into government, we nearly always give the wrong people the power.

Cardiff Airport
at 21:49 21 Sep 2024

You don't have to wonder why at all, the tories are.....insert th truth...and so maybe labour will change that, we'll see.

The fact still is though that when the airport is at such a disadvantage and is losing a lot of money, unless Westminster levels the playing field then Welsh tax payers are going to continue getting shafted.

There's more important things in Wales that need the money more. And there's still the issue about not sortingoads out but propping ip the most polluting form of transport in Wales.

Coventry City v Swansea City : Match day thread
at 21:20 21 Sep 2024

OK, got home 10 mins ago and would like to point something out...the penalty claim, there was lots of pushing and shoving and maybe the ref gave Cabango the benefit of the doubt BUT out on the wing, the player who crossed the ball, he clearly handled it before he crossed it so it being given would have been harsh.

Everybody did well today, Cooper and Cullen ran their socks off and if at times the tempo dropped and we slackened well lets be fair, we had been on top for ages and had worked extremely hard, a bit of a slack period was to be expected.

It was the best 90 minutes I've seen, we beat Preston more convincingly but Coventry are a better team, in my opinion anyway, and what happened today took a lot of hard work and some very good football.

Us 2 are driving up, leaving about 9. We're parking at the stadium, bit of a rip off at 18 quid and they keep you in for an hour after for pedestrian saftey.

There is a person often left out who had a very big effect on the SAS, he was written out of the story by his own brother, that person being Bill Stirling.

https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/bill-stirling-the-brains-behind-the-wartime-

David Stirling was brave, adventurous and entirely disorganised. Missions failed because David was poor with logistics.

When David approached Paddy Mayne about writing a book, Paddy wanted nothing to do with it.

Champions league only requires one venue for the final and Cardiff can more than cope with the crowd at the Principality.

Why should the aid budget be spent on a frippery? We waste enough money on fripperies, we are short of money so we shouldn't be wasting it on vanity projects.

The lavish spending is exacty the problem. Peple are dying, people are in pverty so spend millions nay billions on a showy sports event that leaves the hosts with debt, no..NO.

The Commnwealth games by definition cannot be niche. There are 56 members states with thousands of athletes/sports people wanting to take art.

at 17:53 20 Sep 2024

Sorry but you lost me at Gove and competent tory.

Your partygate paragraph is itself guesswork. We don't know who leaked for a certainty nor how many leaked
I never said the entire civil service knew just that plenty of people probably knew, plenty being enough to see the story leaked.

Which leads me to an honest question, how many leaks were there? because unless you know that answer you cannot claim the leaks would have been far more numerous and anyway, we both know that when this story frst came out that Bojo and his government cronies would have been doing their best to suppress it.
