Pyke needs to massively work on his movement off the ball. He runs like a headless chicken off the ball. There’s been a couple of occasions now in this game and the last where we’ve found ourselves outnumbering there defenders on an attack and his run is the same as another forward and the space has been taken away.
I wouldn't say Charlton is a write off just yet. They look like they could be fairly comfortable in the play offs going into the last game of the season. If they can't come first or 4th in those play off places they may rest a few players for the final game against us.
We desperately need one! It would protect our back four a lot more and we know that's needed. It would also free up Camps, Dooley, Rathbone etc. to push further up the pitch, and whenever we've been successful in the past they've been allowed to do that. At the moment Camps clearly isn't a CDM and is much better further up the pitch.
In that role it means others around him are having to cover and its giving them something to worry about, instead of doing their main jobs on the pitch.
Genuinely gutted. Can see the reasons for the sackings but would have leaned more to giving him a chance next season.
Felt he'd earned the right to have a go at League 2 next season (should we have got relegated). If I had to choose a manager I'd want in charge of Rochdale in Lg2 then I'd want Keith Hill. He's done it twice before and may have been able to assemble a squad in summer to do that. It's a lot harder assembling a squad for league one when you've struggled the season prior, but would be easier if successfully promoted in lg2.
One of Hill's downfalls appears to be his stubbornness, ego and untouchable attitude. If this sacking alters his character then I would happily welcome him back again. We could get the older Keith that was so successful the first couple of times.
I recent bought a VPN a month ago to the watch the dale games and it works fine. Even with a registered UK address. I paid £12.99 to use Expressvpn for the month. I've moved away from Rochdale so it allows to me to watch all the games I can't get to. Can't complain for a fiver.
If I remember rightly before the Darlington Play off game at Home most of the stadium was all belting out Wonderwall. Would be brilliant if we could get that going before the game against Spurs!
