Due to inexperience of the angler having its head nearly severed because of the sharp pulling back of the rod and speed of reeling in then to have someone trying to remove at times a rusty hook into its fleshy then its head smashed against the floor because its only mackerel used only to catch more mackerel , and yes I've seen that happen or doggies classed as worthless again kicked about and again I've seen this happen and yes I used to fish myself .I can't comment on river fishing as I've never done it .

Not for a moment am I prescribing to war but at the moment the Germans don't want to commit to sending peace keepers to Ukraine which sort of blows Starmers initiative out of the water .They spent 20 years in Afghanistan in which I'm sure they acquitted themselves pretty well but different tactics different terrain.

She can't help herself

Chancellor Rachel Reeves has been forced to issue a correction after wrongly claiming wages had risen at their fastest rate since the Labour Party took power following last year's General Election.

The Treasury stepped in at lunchtime to amend what it called an "error" in the Chancellor's earlier statement to the press, clarifying that wages after inflation are growing at their fastest rate in three years, rather than at record levels as initially suggested.

In her initial statement, Reeves had declared: "Getting more money in peoples pockets is my number one mission. Since the election we've seen year on year wages after inflation growing at their fastest rate worth an extra £1,000 a year on average"

The usual "suspects for the use of a better word , have remained silent as they do about most negative matters concerning this government and as they say silence is golden ,its sometimes not what you say but what you don't say.

What if it was Robert from accounts would that sit better with you? She's a women, she worked in accounts, a pretty accurate description , so what is misogynist about that ? that to me is taking the mick of someone so deserving of the disdain she receives .
You come across as a professional honest person ,so would you apply for a post knowing that you had embellished/lied to your peers with a CV or entries into Linkedin, if a person is willing to lie about something so basic then what else would they be prepared to they lie about.

IMO this is serious because Labour were going to be a shining light where integrity would be first and foremast in their thinking and if not taken seriously how then can they expect the voter to believe them in anything they say.
Starmer had a chance to set an example ( although with himself that bar is low already) but didn't hoping this would go away but it hasn't .

The thing is they hate the thought of the status quo changing , not very progressive of them but hi ho that's what narrow thinking does for the soul.

That's why they don't raise a peep , too busy searching for some weak argument to justify what labour are doing .

and another "I understand it… I think there was some, um, issue around, uh, the LinkedIn page, and there was, uh, solicitor and trainee solicitor used, and I don’t think that amounts to changing your CV. I think that was probably an administrative error, as far as I can see.”

Have you been asleep since July , Labour have reneged on at least 5 major promises since gaining power admittedly not all manifesto policies but its been swarmed upon by posters that Farage once said over ten years ago about citizens taking out health insurance , all credibility has now been lost when you stated your post about honesty , it seems your acceptance of the fact that all politicians lie to gain power but somehow Farage's lies are bigger .
Reforms like the others manifestos will change by the time the next election comes around or do you think that its like the Bible ,set ins tone with no 3rd editions , of course they'll change it , they'll change to suit the mood of the country and at the moment the mood is one of no longer accepting the dross we're been conditioned to .Isn't it better for democracy that people are now vested in to politics rather than not bothering .
