| News Comment | A Bad Day At The Office For Saints Now Just Regroup Refocus & Move Forward at 10:24:40
A bit harsh not to include McCarthy in your short list of players who did not have a bad game. I am not his biggest fan, but his shot stopping was superb, and apart from the near obligatory pass to an opposition forward, kept us in the game. United were not poor in the first half, and it could have easily been 2-2 at half time. There is no doubt that the tempo, passing and closing down dropped off drastically in the second half. That is not unusual for this team. What we saw was United come out in the second half with belief and determination to get a result, and they have the players to do that. United fans will be happy with the result, but should be perplexed as to why their team doesn't fight like this every week. |
| News Comment | Ralph Confirms New Signing Deal Is Done at 16:10:28
From the Youtube clips (yeah, I know) he looks more defensive than the chap who we couldn't get the work permit for. I'd say he will prove to be a good signing and put a bit of pressure on Romeu (who was excellent today) to maintain high standards. Diallo's distribution looks to be better than Romeu's and also more forward passes. But we'll only really find out when he is in the team, on the pitch. |

Nice to see the lads win as St Mary's again, and also to see Djenepo score today. He would be so much better if he worked as hard as Armstrong. He could do with a bit of BergKamp ball control practice and learn how to control it a bit better. His schoolboy flicks hardly ever find their man, and mostly he looks like a dog with a balloon unless he is actually running at players. The opposition have stopped backing off as they don't see him as a threat any more. |

There is no doubt that Stephens is playing well below his level from post lockdown. But for me, Redmond is the poorest performing player in the squad, notwithstanding Romeu's shocking passing. |
