JCS going to have basically been out the whole season! Great to have Cook and Morrison back for the weekend. 4 good CB's now in place to choose from. Would love to see Dembele playing in a confident team |
| Forum Reply | Chair at 09:34 23 Jan 2025
He's still our top 'assister' with 4 this season, despite missing half the season as well. Also notable that the upturn in performances (so everything post PNE) has come with him back in the side. The guy is brilliant, just had a bad game v Hull |
| Forum Reply | If a miracle happened and we went up via the playoffs at 09:36 20 Jan 2025
Love the hypothetical!! I'd love to go up, but wouldn't want the consequences of it! The idea that you bank the money etc etc is fine until you look at Luton who are involved in another relegation battle this season! On Luton, everyone talks about their plucky campaign last season... they got 26 points. That's 1 more than when we got relegated in the Hughes/Redknapp season and 4 less than when we went down under Ramsey!! For the promoted clubs it essentially comes down to your transfer business which itself involves a bit of luck. Ipswich seem to have a gem in Liasm Delap, signed for a chunky fee from a Top 6 Academy. Whilst Cameron Archer is the same profile and is stinking the place out for Southampton! |
| Forum Reply | Varane and Kolli Brilliant Goals at 09:55 14 Jan 2025
Kolli chipping in with 4 goals and a few assists aged 19 is fantastic. He's not perfect and maybe he won't be good enough, but to have him organically come through our youth system and properly contribute to the first team is a real plus for the club. I doubt he will stay here for long as he doesn't seem to be first choice and he will want to play |
| Forum Reply | New Year transfer window rumours at 14:16 8 Jan 2025
I don't see the value in Hayden when we have a trio of Varane, Field and Morgan as first choice who are 23, 26 and 18 respectively. They are backed up by Colback (34) and Madsen (24). I'd rather keep our powder dry and replace Colback in the summer with someone of a better age profile. Now we seem to be mid table (fingers crossed), there's probably not as much desire to bring players in. We would all like a striker, but they are coming in to be back up to Frey and take minutes away from Lloyd and Kolli who we own. The glaring hole for me is left back as I don't think Larkeche is good enough when he is fit and we know Paal is moving on. I think it's worth spending money there |
| Forum Thread | Christmas Games a great test at 12:27 23 Dec 2024
The next 3 (Swans a, Norwich a and Watford h) should really tell us if we are going top be safely ensconced in mind table this season. All 3 having the sort of season we thought we should be having. If we are picking up 4 points from those games I think it's a great sign for the future |
| Forum Reply | VAR in the EFL at 13:28 20 Dec 2024
Goal Line technology has been good, nothing to argue about. Same if we have automated offsides which determine it in 30 seconds. The rest of it is a joke |
| Forum Reply | Varanne at 15:06 12 Dec 2024
Looks a good, solid defensive midfielder. His passing isn't up to much but then if it was would he be at QPR? Solid and alongside Field makes us very tough to play against. What you'd ideally like is Dembele back fit and providing the thrust in the middle (ooo er) from the platform those two can give |
| Forum Reply | Another Injury Update at 15:31 10 Dec 2024
That's a very long winded way of saying JCS, Chair and Frey will be in the squad for the Preston game. Celar is fcked and Dembele is back March. Colback gone to the glue factory |
| Forum Reply | Sam Field or no Sam Field? at 12:43 9 Dec 2024
I thought Varane suffered for not having Field alongside him Saturday. Felt the game passed Morgan by and when we pressed high up it left Varane with tons of space to cover. Thought Norwich got runners off him loads in the first half (much better second half). Morgan has great potential, but realistically it needs to be Field and Varane in there at the base |

We've drawn 3 Prem teams in the last 1.5 years Bournemouth Palace Leicester Not exactly mouth watering are they! |
| Forum Reply | Willock? at 09:16 28 Nov 2024
Had an incredible 18 months and really we should've sold him summer of 2022 when Beale came in, but Honest Mick demanded we keep all our assets. Been pony since Beale left and now just loos. a bog standard Championship winger who will give a decent performance every 5 games or so. Will see out his Cardiff contract and slowly wind down his career bouncing around Champ and League 1. It's a short career and he's maximising it, but it's a shame considering how good he was |

BlueSky has massively picked up this week. It's not just centrist Dad politicos anymore The 'starter packs' are great. Perhaps someone could create one for decent QPR content (people like Clive, Finney, Jim Frayling, Dave Mc etc etc). As I said previously, my Twitter feed is OK. Although looking at the first 10 tweets 2 are adverts for crappy mobile games amongst various football bots and bobs |
| Forum Reply | Mark Warburton interview at 10:36 14 Nov 2024
Love Warbs, however the collapse in his last season whilst partly down to injuries was also because players he had pushed for were completely gassed. Austin, Johansen and Wallace were cooked. All players Warbs had wanted. They lost some absolutely pathetic games as well. Away to Barnsley and Millwall where he left Dieng on the bench because David Marshall had done OK as cover. At that point we had next to no injuries. Then the collapse started. Home to Cardiff. 1-0 up and cruising and we pissed it away. Home to Peterborough, again 1-0 up and cruising before collapsing. He had dropped Barbet for Sanderson for that game. There was also the pathetic 1-0 loss at Stoke. So yes injuries did bite. And yes we were unlucky with Willock getting cut down when he was in his prime. But the rot had set in and Warbs had started to make odd decisions. Had we beaten Cardiff and Peterborough at home and drawn with Millwall, Barnsley, Stoke away we would've been in the Play offs However, the club very obviously should have set about the rebuild with Warbs at the helm as opposed to Beale/Critchley/Ainsworth |

I find Twitter/X fine, but then I never venture onto the 'For You' page which is a crap shoot. BlueSky seems very nice but there is a complete lack of any football content on there FWIW I am https://bsky.app/profile/robgilbz.bsky.social |

Starting taking my son after Covid. He is now an Arsenal fan and to be honest I don't blame him. He has started supporting QPR over the worst 4 year period in my nearly 40 years supporting them. It's utterly joyless going to QPR at the moment and has been for 3 years straight. My other son comes with me to games but also tells his mates he is an Arsenal fan. A completely stagnant club under awful ownership. Our time will came again, but not whilst this lot own the club. They have no idea what they are doing or how to run a club. They've been there nearly 15 years as well |

And all they had to do was break the rules and receive a points deduction in a season where 27 points would keep you up. |
| Forum Reply | Tuchal. England! at 10:22 16 Oct 2024
I've not got a problem with the manager being foreign, but it's pretty embarrassing to build a massive training complex, introduce 'England DNA' and when the top job comes up not be able to find a homegrown manager to step up. I'm not sure I buy this 'proven winner' schtick either. If Rashford's penalty goes 3 inches to the right in 2021 we win the Euros and Southgate becomes a 'winner'. International football is so much about good vibes and being solid. I just don't know if Tuchel actually brings that |
