A young lady collapsed / fell in the mainstand towards the end of the Saturday game. Anyone know her and is she ok? |

I think Dave Sutton had that written up on the dressing room wall? |

Poor quality football, players that cannot control the ball, fail to read the game and make poor quality decisions at key moments. However - folks who may criticize need to understand… that’s where we’re at as a club as far as the quality of talent available on the market within our budget and it will continue for a while. Desperately disappointing Still, I’ll make my first game next Saturday and cheer the lads on cause that’s what we do. Don’t over dramatize the lows or over emphasise the highs. Just get on with it and keep the club going. [Post edited 6 Aug 2023 9:07]

Although I don’t necessarily doubt the intentions of the board, I do question their competency as many others have. So, to give them additional monies secured against the ground to continue managing the business in a similar vein would probably send us beyond the brink. Unless, there is a specific reason for a boost in funding which could see a change in fortunes. Understanding their ultimate goal at the EGM alongside the Plan B (what happens if the motion is not passed) will be critical for Shareholders, including myself, to make a decision. Desperate times and difficult to put a positive spin on it. |

Lovely guy, met him at a football fan group event in London years back. Only too happy to take time and meet folks, chat about football all night. One of the few good folk in football. |

The football club as a whole ARE accountable, did McNulty believe people thought otherwise? As far as player reaction goes, it matters little as their ability and commitment over the season speaks louder than a knee jerk reaction after the final whistle. Globally we’re seeing companies streamlining their headcount to control costs and football, although it seems to operate in a bubble, should be no different. My concern is can the current Board do what is necessary as their track record to date isn’t great. Up The Dale! |

I have an old Rochdale RUFC training t-shirt made by O’Neill’s which is probably about 7-8 years old now. Worn very well over time, good quality. |

Those lads weren’t the most technically gifted but played like their livelihoods depended on it. Present players lack ability and any kind of desire to fight, enough to make any Dale fan very angry. |

There was a fair bit of negative feedback on the hospitality last season, has anyone seen an improvement this season? Weighing up making a booking for later this season. Ta |

The club email hints at a distinct lack of commercial astuteness from the board on how to run a football club. It isn’t their background and/or there isn’t any real experience there, that much is plain to see. The numbers don’t add up, press the panic button. For those Dale fans, long in the tooth, it’s well known the numbers have never really added up and survival has been achieved with personal investment from board members alongside tapping their network for an additional board member to buy their way in. To receive a blanket ‘call for investment’ would suggest the current board also have no connections of note that might want to put money in, very worrying. On a footballing note, I fear that the January window for players therefore will not be our savior. |
