Every signing Mackay has made has been aimed at the future; youngsters for the academy, others in the 20-25 age range.
Odemwingie would be a statistical outlier. Flashes hot and cold, would provide at most 2 seasons tops. Just doesn't fit to mould of the player Mackay goes for. | |

Not really. Since Gunarsson has his collarbone injury, we've no-one that can take long throw ins anyway.
Odemwingie just makes no sense to me. His agent activities last season, well, Montero's agent/club messed us around, we cancelled the deal. Not played in a while, not exactly had consistently good years. Doubt his ego would handle being a backup. We need wide players, a long term replacement for Bellamy etc. I'd rather someone like Kadeem Harris from the development squad get a run out, he's been on fire so far this season. | |
