Something that I've thought since it was evident we would start the season with Briatore & Ecclestone still in charge. Since Bhatia resigned as Vice Chairman in fact.
No commitment or professionalism at that time in the Boardroom. Precious little Prem experience in the squad. Largely untested management and coaching team at Prem level. Once Fernandes & co arrived, everything was being done in a rush to try and catch up, and unfortunately it would seem that too many of the resulting signings and decisions haven't worked out.
As frustrating as it is for all Rangers fans, especially those that are spending significant money to support the team home and away, if we do have to step back into the Championship, the club is much better placed now not only to make an immediate return to the Prem in 13-14, but to build foundations for a successful future as an established Prem club going forward. We have excellent and committed owners, a top class board and CEO, a management and coaching team which can improve us over the next two to three years and hopefully beyond, and a decent squad upon which to build.
We are simply having to pay what I believe will be a short term price for a longer term gain. Sadly it's in a world where too many believe long term stretches no further than the next game. |  | | |  |

I don't think that we've got 2 to play up front at the moment anyway, but if you think that 4-2-3-1 will work then who are the two? I think that 4-5-1 is fine if the 5 are good enough, but the problem is that they aren't. We don't even have 4 that are good enough for a 4-4-2. Not 4 who are fit in body and mind anyway. |

Against Arsenal and Man Utd I can't see Derry holding it.
We'll never get the ball out. It'll be a massacre. Whoever we play in midfield will be vulnerable. Arsenal probably aren't as physical as Man Utd so Buz might be able to hold and move it a bit. Barton has to play for me as he has the ability to play at this level even if he doesn't show it for us. Even if we don't want him and want to move him on in the summer then he still needs to play and do something. I can't see that playing Derry is going to advance our cause. |  | | |

I'd like to see a fast pressing game, close Arsenal down, harry them but the side's too old and slow for that and without HH we can't defend from the front. I'd wager a bet it will be like the Chelsea home cup game. |  | | |
