Jimmy Dunne 21:38 - Dec 21 with 2978 views | Lanhoop | Very probably the new Alan McDonald. Tell me I’m wrong?
Jimmy Dunne on 18:06 - Dec 22 with 513 views | HAYESBOY | No offence to the OP, but he is nowhere near the great AM. A top 5 player of all time for QPR IMO. Dunne is a very good Championship right back and I hope we extend his contract soon.

Jimmy Dunne on 18:47 - Dec 22 with 414 views | PeterHucker | Alan McDonald's QPR career lasted 15 years and he made nearly 500 apperances. Only 2 players in the entire history of our club have played more. Nobody loves Jimmy Dunne more than me but he has been here 3 and a bit years, played about 130 times. He is clearly a lovely bloke who cares about our club, and he is the heart of our team. But he's not the new Macca.
Jimmy Dunne on 22:43 - Dec 22 with 239 views | mart_Goblin | Not sure about that for the reasons already stated. Macca played in the top division for the vast majority of his career, captained his country many times and played at a World Cup. Dunne has some way to go yet. However, club legends come in various guises. Cook, Bircham, Padula etc became club legends playing some of their football in the 3rd tier. Zamora was by and large mediocre but scored ‘that’ goal. If Jimmy is still here in 3 or 4 years time and playing well then he’ll be in that ‘legend’ bracket for sure. What’s more important right now is that he clearly loves being a QPR player and loves the club. As I said elsewhere it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s signed a new contract already . We won’t know about it due to the CEO’s games, but he is playing with freedom and confidence . I just hope he carries on doing what he’s doing as he’s fast becoming one of the most important players in the team , if not ‘the’ most important as he’s Nardi’s only bloody out ball for a start .
Jimmy Dunne on 10:13 - Dec 23 with 88 views | aston_hoop | He's a decent defender, a really good bloke, slightly limited ability wise and prone to more mistakes than some other players in the squad. But on good form and important to the way the team plays at the moment. Only outfield player to play every minute too in the League I think, as the saying goes 'the best ability is availability'...certainly true of our defence anyway. Plays with heart and passion, but not any more than plenty of others in the squad who seem to get praised for it far less than him. But I guess we all see things differently in that sense.

Most importantly he puts the team before himself, Does whatever he asked to do, even those car-crash tactics at Millwall away the other season, Plus in key moments like last Saturday and Birmingham at home last season he has that leadership ability that says something needs to done here, and steps up to the plate.
