It seems the BBC are reluctant to play this years Xmas No 1 , can't think why , its not sexist, doesn't mention gangbangers, murder or gang warfare .

Can’t think why?

Because it’s a political song and the BBC is impartial
- although many believe it’s Left leaning while others believe it’s right leaning.

“This song is deeply offensive and should not be played on the radio. But next on radio 1 here’s a song where cardi B raps about how wet her genitals are.”

But they weren’t political songs about the Uk.

Relax . thought the title might have been Frankie goes to Hollywood from back in the day .

Around about that time was at a Wedding Party and the DJ played the original Relax .
Some of the old dears and guests did not know where to look on the wording of the song whilst it was played in the room .

Mischief by the dj maybe to lighten the night , or a total flop in some others eyes and ears .

It was a bit dodgy lyric wise obviously and the Beeb banned it on their airtime .

Two Tribes by previously mentioned Frankie goes to Hollywood was a brilliant track .

Captain Ska with Liar Liar….an anti Teresa May song was quite popular….and played on the Beeb. Bit not sure if it went to number 1.
Anyways….I much prefer a happy song rather than another Rage Against The Machine number 1 this time of year.

It’s a nonsense that the BBC will never play it.

Will there be reparations for those affected by these songs ? 😉

Is anyone still with ‘Lucy in the sky with diamonds’

You must have forgotten ( as I did) the anti-Thatcher track "Stand Down Margaret" song, by the Beat which reached number 22 in the chartsand was broadcast on both The Old Grey Whistle Test and the children's show Cheggers Plays Pop.
