I given up on hope.

I just expect defeat.

Desperation just about sums us up at the moment.
Sometimes though, when there's only the slenderest strand of hope left…..

So you're saying it's bad?

Honestly, those stats! If it gets any worse, match reports and match previews are going to need to be accompanied by a health warning.

Please, please, Rangers, give us a win this time

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Thoreau's line about the mass of men 'leading lives of quiet desperation' seems ringingly apposite when it comes to QPR fans in these desolate days. Perhaps we're part of the problem, and we need to become loudly desperate/despairing. It's not really working for us right now, is it, either way?

I'm morbidly interested to see how Marti reacts if the boos for Celar louden, for instance. How much credit does he have for last season in this board's lugubrious, scapegoat-hungry and sentimental minds? Another week or two? Another month? Till Easter (and the mighty lurch of resurrection/belated relief of relegation)? Or, as some posters have been insisting, is he basically beyond critique and the preordinately best suited to refloat our boat in Division One, should we sink?

Be still, my giddy heart! As Dylan sang, 'it's not dark yet / but it's getting there'.

Poll: What should the club do now (assuming no imminent change of owners)?
