MC has got to go 21:59 - Nov 5 with 51042 viewsWilkinswatercarrier

Sorry, but that has done it for me.

You don't put a right footed player, you don't trust, at left back, yet leave your left footed defender at right back.

Fcking stupid.

A shapeless, gutless performance. Players walking, not challenging, arguing with each other. No shape, no desire.

Something has to happen and fast as we have relegation written all over us.

***having had a good night's sleep, I don't want MC sacked, I just can't sit through this anymore. I actually hate this club at the moment.***

Well if takes months then so be it. What’s going to be the difference ?

Maybe we should do something for the long term instead of 30 years of quick fixes and sticking plasters over gaping wounds. If that’s means relegation ….so what? This lot are going anyway as I can’t see anybody getting Santos and Celar up to such a high standard that we go on a substantial winning run to get out of it.

The basic plans are there .
We just need the people to implement them ..not Nourry and all his old chums , which is what’s happened .

I remember getting relegated in 1996 and people saying it'd be nice to see a few new grounds for a year.

It took 15 years and a wage bill way beyond our actual income to get back.

I remember getting relegated in 2015 and people saying it would be easy to get back up. We're not going up this year so that's 10 years out so far

I honestly don't think many people have quite grasped the possible outcome of relegation to the 3rd tier in 2025. Its not 20 years ago, it's 2024 and relegation has a significant possibility of leading to the club folding or slipping further down the pyramid.

The board need to go, but if fans dont realise that the number one priority matter is avoiding relegation then they are deluding themselves.

Yeah this …beyond measure.
Great post

It is a good post. Without stating the bleeding obvious football is a results and entertainment based industry,if you want to call it that and QPR are not getting results or even entertaining us, especially at home. Regardless of injuries or not the football we have been served up this season has been dire, I like many others who go to Loftus Road regularly have watched such a poor state of affairs on the pitch and away teams just coming away with an easy 3 points and this has been getting worse since the draw against Plymouth. Personally the 3-1 first home defeat to West Brom set the tone for me, we are a passive weak team and easy meat for most of the teams in this division and so it is proving. The away defeat at Derby which I witnessed was another gutless performance against a bang average team and we pretty much had a full strength side playing. Marti worries me now, he does not make substitutions to change games and leaves it all far too late. Whether he goes or not may depend on the next two or 3 games, a heavy defeat at Leeds and a loss at home to Stoke could be curtains for him.

I completely agree .

You shouldn’t think we are all thick as mince and don’t understand what relegation means .
There is a difference however. Marti has already done this and got us going when all hope was lost.
So the majority of fans know he can do this .

It’s the players he’s been given that we all doubt .
My point was that we keep the one promising thing we have stumbled upon in recent times and put our trust in him. And I have been very critical of him this week myself.

It’s interesting that the few calling for MC to be sacked , when the question is “who replaces him?”, there has been silence . Not 1 name Ives seen anyway .
So give us a name that you think will come in and turn Madsen into a combative physical self imposing midfielder or 10 as he should be ?

You think Warnock wasn't a good manager for us?

It doesn't matter what I think, I'm not in charge of appointing managers am I?

The clownshoe cùnts who are were inordinately impressed with being interviewed for the position by a candidate who overachieved at Blackburn, failed hard at Man City and was treading water at Fulham. So they binned Warnock for what they saw as an upgrade.

How did that work out?

There is no way Cifuentes will be here to lead us into League One if current results continue.
Would expect him to jump ship at the first half decent club that flutters their eyelashes at him.
Nourry and Belk have majorly contributed to where we are now but he’s doing a very poor job this season.

You’ve been sticking up for Nourry in a huge way. In fact you’ve been pretty much ploughing a lone furrow. And you’ve even gone out of your way to any of those who dared say otherwise.

And now you slip it in that Nourry is in fact a massive part of the problem.

Incredible!

In response to Wilkins OP
Who is this left footed full back that isn't injured or loaned to Dundee?
Paal, Fox, Ashby all injured. So Santos was the last man standing.
Unless we're trying to get Lee Wallace back.

Larkeche.

More of a wing back (as Santos is on the right side imho) but was finding his feet before he got strangely loaned. Good pace and likes to press in the final third at least.

Do we not have anyone at the club able to play left back, surely there is someone in the under 18's or under 23 team who can fill in for 1 game.

I cringe when I read this post… was reading somewhere that Fat Frank has shown some interest.., please NO, he’s not going to make our average injured players into world beaters and it would cost the club millions.

I actually bumped into MC a couple of weeks ago when out for a walk, he was with his wife and kids, he is such a nice fella and was interested in me and how long I supported Qpr and how often I go etc. I genuinely do think he can get us through this …bloody hope so

They have Casey Shann in the ‘EDS’. Signed from Brighton 18 months back. Presumably he’s utter shite if Cifuentes isn’t willing to even include him in the squad.

You really can’t read or understand much can you?

The whole club is rotten at the moment from the owners through Nourry, Belk and his recruitment team, Cifuentes and the coaches and of course the players. They all deserve loads of criticism as they all share the responsibility.

I take exception to the likes of you ignorantly blaming everything on Nourry as if you are the font of knowledge as to what goes on behind the scenes at QPR.

Incredible!

And yet the very stick that you try to beat with, repeatedly, in your typically antagonistic fashion, “oh you are such a pretend ITK”… has become somewhat ironic.

Because it’s completely lost on you that the information shared on here by myself and others regarding Nourry, all of which was saying the same stuff (as if it were actually… you know… true) is in fact, catching up to reality.

The chickens are very much coming home to roost.

Funny, that, isn’t it?

I don't pretend to know what Noury is responsible for or Marti or even Belk.
What I do know is that, at least in the short term, we are in are in a lot of trouble and that Mark Robbins has a lot of football league experience and has been active in this league for the last few years. We should be sounding him out about a short term consultant role to assist and advise the club on recruitment for the next window. We need a couple more experienced football league pros to come into the team in January, if we are to have any chance of staying up.

Hopefully Marti won’t be stubborn and realise the way we are currently playing means we are heading to league 1, abandon the ticker tacker crap and be more adventurous.

Problem is with the players currently at his disposal don’t think any system would work.
The injury list doesn't help but nothing shown so far indicates that the signings have been good enough.
All of us have the same unanswered question as to who was responsible for bringing them in. Is Marti having to play the hand that he’s been dealt or has he been a part of signing players that just aren’t good enough.
At the moment we have not one decent striker, poor full backs, a midfield that doesn’t gel and central defenders Cookie and JCS who only seem consistent when both are playing together as soon as one is out the defence crumbles.
Not looking good at all and the summer recruitment doesn’t inspire a great deal of confidence for incoming players in the January window - and it might be too late by then anyway.

Did you see how bad Coventry were against us? Utterly shambolic, and he is a good manager!

Manager is not our problem, injuries and squad depth are. We can't even go long ball as we dont have a target man striker in the club other than Frey

As I said in the match thread, of course Cifuentes has to cut his cloth accordingly - both in terms of the players we brought in without bothering to scout in the flesh this summer and our extensive injury list. But...

But - he is wholly responsible for our tactics and how we set up. The fact we've only got the worst of our shit squad left standing isn't the reason we attack slower than rust. And it sure as shit ain't the reason why we stubbornly persist with defending corners with all 11 players back in our own box, even the sub 5-footers who aren't going to beat anyone in the air but could be an out ball when clearing a corner if stationed on the half way line.

That is totally on Cifuentes and he's shown zero sign of acknowledging the ridiculousness of both this whole season. He really needs to get back to pragmatic Marti of last season and address the blindingly obvious failings that he does actually have the power to influence

QPR - "shit but local"
