Jerry Yates on 23:50 - Nov 1 with 1172 views | ReslovenSwan1 | It is what called tongue in cheek comment. He is saying the contract is so long it is not a factor. Probably another 3 years. (it may as well have been 12). Swnsea have to stop ditching strikers. Terrible at Swansea great everywhere else. Only Lowe is the exception and he was a runner unloved by Martin and Williams. Yates and Cullen until 2027 and beyond, [Post edited 2 Nov 0:22]

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

It’s in our interests for him to do well up there. I quite liked him initially. Duff didn’t play to his strengths but the effort and intensity were there. He Just didn’t get the rub of the green in front of goal. He looked like he could be a real nuisance. Williams didn’t either and eventually it seemed to wear him down. Looked like he didn’t want to be there by the end. Not in an unprofessional way, just his confidence faded. If we get a good fee or he comes back with form and confidence it’s a win either way.

He is much better than Cullen for sure. The club have gone for a Cullen love in. Best forward the CoE has produced since Jason Bowen who was more like Yates and knew what to do against a tough Centre back with sharp turns faints and a bag of tricks. For a club with Trundle on the books it is strange the up and coming forward have no trickery.

He wasn’t better than Cullen last season, there wasn’t a lot between them, and presumably was on much higher wages. I wasn’t against loaning him out at all, but I expected us to replace him with a striker ready for championship football at a minimum.

Remember it was the owners who wanted to loan Yates out nobody else, saving 3 times Cullens wages and as you say, there was nothing between them last season.

Nothing wrong with that. His confidence was shot, if he’d started the season playing a similar role in a similar set up, there’s a good chance he would have struggled. Loan away is a great chance to get his mojo back which it looks like he’s doing. But to replace him with Vipotnik at the stage he’s at in his development was negligent. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
