Obafemi and Whittaker 17:00 - Oct 5 with 4064 viewsonehunglow

Interesting to see these two troublesome players win the game for Plymouth against Blackburn, our next game .
Rooney must be very tolerant or simply a better manager than some think .

Cullen is no trouble but rarely scores. Sometimes friction and a edge is better than a group of nice blokes that all get on.

I see that Whittaker scored deep into added time. Whatever his issues may have been, he looks a much more likely goal scorer than anything we have.

A dear friend of mine is a Derby fan who knows Morgan and as he said "he will always score goals in the right team"

Regardless of how good, bad or indifferent these two players are, neither of them wanted to play for Swansea City.

We have really missed out on him.
I don’t care what has been said about his attitude or strops
Fact is ,many footballers have them.
It’s about managing them
Our managers have not
We are left with Cullen as a main striker

Can't imagine why.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I wonder how many clubs Obafemi will have on his CV, when he retires??

He's another Ravel Morrison in the making!!

Oba isn't going to be earning a testimonial at any club in the future. As for Whittaker, probably the answer lies in the Southampton area?

Well the current co@ch had him as a mentor.
Ergo, we play the same way NOW.
Look at the empty seats .
It shows they don’t like the way we play NOW
Our former coach brought the dud that is Fisher, still earning a good living for doing nothing at all.
We are better with him injured rather than have him enter the field of play
The former coach did not improve any player and neither has this .
We are continuing along a trough going nowhere

The former coach couldn’t handle these two players and both elected but not before they’d been messed about in the case of Whittaker . Being told to come on a a sub in the 92 nd minute for example

These two players show exactly how bad our coaching has been

Rooney was at Derby when he sold him to Swansea He presumably did not rate him that highly. He does now.

I compare Potter and McBurnie and Martin and Whittaker. I doubt Potter was delighted about McBurnie and his frequent illnesses. He talked about OMcB and his adjustment from gangly teenager to professional footballer. He played him got results and he got sold for a whopping £20m.

Martin on the other hand did not give a fig for Whittaker and simply blocked him out devaluing the player and demoralizing him leading to disrespectful behaviour. He was sold for a fraction of his true value
.

Derby were in financial difficulty, the 800k I would say was much needed.

Williams unfortunately is learning on the job with blunt tools. Nothing to do with the previous coach.

He refused him a professional chance due to his unprofessional attitude.

The disrespect started with the player. Piroe was the same in the first few weeks, but his dad got ahold of him and told him to grow up. He told me. Look at our reports of that time.

Two players from a very short list I genuinely dislike, purely because of the contempt they showed our club.

However I’d swap either for Vipotbik at the moment. Tantrums and mutinies and all.

As you say William's is learning on the job, the Championship is a step up from his previous managerial job, different problems than he has to deal with in the past but so did our recent managers.
Potter his team couldn't defend a corner for toffee maybe the players at his disposal?
Cooper wasn't use to having to deal with the day to day problems that a league team, injuries, varying quality of players and had to persist to get the best out of his team, a number of people me included would say he made wrong choice in team selection but did he have some of the players he wanted to develop sold on maybe because they didn't think they had the chances to prove their worth and wanted away, but to be fair to Cooper he got us into two play off and but for some unfortunate injuries to key players we could have returned to the Premier League, he might have even got us there with the players acquired by the club in what would have been his third year.
Martin seemed to try and address key areas such as goal keeper but obviously didn't realise the gulf in classic required and what was brought in, I also thought he stuck to a way of playing that just didn't make sense with who he had or choosed to have at his disposal maybe some players thought they knew better either way his tenure was pretty poor because his defensive team setup or players didn't suit what he was trying to do and he did learn to adapt.
I won't mention Duff, he had injuries to deal with and if he wasn't here to sort issues out and see them develop into bigger problem then he had to go.

Potter, Cooper and Martin I think left us as better mangers with more experience than they were with us which but I sure they still had flaws that would lead to their downfall at certain clubs.

As for Luke William he got us out of the relegation battle last year, he has now got us an unbeaten home run, yesterday we made a lot more chances and attempts on goal, small steps but there was a definite improvement.

He has a number of players who he doesn't know how to integrate into the team given the number of substitutions
available and yes he seems to have players out of position.

I think he will persist with his blunt tools at his disposal until he can work out how to get best out of his other players while improving the style of play to suit his established first eleve.
There are still issues, runs being made but not seen or passes just not being given just in case we expose ourselves to an attack hence not creating our own.
Same goes for working the ball nicely up the pitch to gain territorial advantage then giving that advantage away because we are not prepared to test the opposition defence by getting throw ins into dangerous area in case we lose possession, the opposition don't want to deal with throw ins into players in the penalty area and I'm sure they are more than happy to see the ball end up back with our goalie.
For me a couple of ideas that are flawed if they are considered to be the first option.

It could well be
His appointment at Plymouth was ridiculed.,let’s not forget . “Worst manager ever” etc.

Whittaker is a match winner
Obefemi not so but he might have got his head down

If Rooney has got them buying into him, he’s the exception not the rule. Both talented players without a doubt.

His record proves it,at least as a player.
Few can match his hunger to win and the experience he has accumalated might now be paying off.

Same reason , Vincent Kompany Scott Parker, Ralph Hasenhüttl and Neil Harris either shipped Obafemi out, or had massive disciplinary problems with him.
