Growing up in catholic Ireland there was always some turn of phrase with biblical roots rolled out at the appropriate moment and this one was a particular favourite of my grandad. This bloke spent the last dozen years waiting to be chucked in jail (I'm sure life wasn't hard for him) but in the clear and celebrating - boom. What's worse, his co defendant got hit by a car and killed on the weekend.
Pretty horrific reading that and its just a miracle that tiny baby survived with the mother and the few lucky ones.Being up top was the difference between life and death so lets hope those trapped below went quickly at least. Pretty bizzare that the 2 main defendants in a 12 billion dollar case got killed in the same weekend as well as the top attorney who represented them . RIP
