Guy next to my mate yesterday said the first game he attended was in 1954 and his grandads first game was 1908 !!

A family clearly blessed with a massive amount of tolerance within !!

Wow !!

Any challengers for this title ??

1986, but it feels more like 100 years rather than 40.

Often asked question on Rangers MB's over the years and I have the same reply every time...dunno. Don't know the fixture, don't know the result, don't even know the season.

My Dad worked Saturdays, there was no way he'd have the time or come to that the inclination, so football trips as a nipper were with mates whose fathers needed another snot nose in tow to keep their offspring occupied. I do vaguely recall, White Hart Lane, Highbury, Stamford Bridge and of course Loftus Rd, the latter appealing to me for reasons unknown, might have been as little as accessibility from Wembley. Anyway, late 60's is a probable, picking up in pace until 90% of matches by '73.

My first match was ...
September 23rd 1963.
Away to Southend
We won 3-1.
Two goals by Mark Lazarus.
This is my 61st season.
Lots of lows not many highs.
Which make the highs special.
Been to Wembley 5 times
2 wins 2 loses and a draw.
Rodneys day in 1967.
Zamora day in 2014.
Massive highs.
Rangers then, now, and always

My memory is usually terrible for stuff like this, but this I do remember.

1991, QPR 2 v Chelsea 2, Peacock and Wilson with our goals, think Wise got one of theirs.

I am but a mere babe compared to most of you!

First game 1959 then became a regular in 1961 (boys pen). My dad supported them in the 1930´s and actually had a trial with the club in 1946. Grandad and his brothers were R’s before the Great War.

First game was about 86 /87 v Liverpool . My dad was a Newcastle "supporter" (Jacky Milburn etc) and had never been to Loftus rd before but used to go to a few Fulham games. Took me and my best mate into the away end by mistake . So my first game was with the scouser's . I think we drew 2-2.
My dad spent most of the game talking about the Beatles to random fans.
Football was never his strong point. I think he was a bit scared .lol.
Tbf their fans were sound and made sure me and my mate could actually see the game.

Occasional providers of half decent House music.

1st game was October 1970 and it wasn’t the 5-2 game against Birmingham when Rodney got his hat trick.I had to pester my mum’s mate to take me along as I was the only football fan in my family.
Luckily (?),he was a season ticket holder in the newish South Africa road stand, and I went in the paddock.

For many years my mates Dad knew the man on the gate at the away end. I didn't pay to watch Rangers for years just stood quietly at the ER side of the away end keeping myself to myself (I was about 12 then)

May 1977, 1-1 home to Liverpool, Givens for us (that roar), Jimmy Case for them.

Odd fact: attendance was 29,000 that day - as far as I know, there's never been a bigger gate at LR since that day.

Unless Saturday's Top Secret gate info turns out to be 30k + of course....

2 possible contenders; vs Spurs where every aisle had fans sat on the steps and the WHU cup game with the Pizanti screamer. ofc there will be an official number lower than the actual figure but the both looked rammed on the day.

The grass is always greener.

Are we including armchair supporters in this or just fans that go to games or a mixture of both?
As it's one thing saying you are a fan & a whole different subject if you actually make the effort to attend the games/fight transport problems/part with hard earned cash etc etc .
My first home game march 71 , first away april 71 , i was 5 .

My day took me to see the Rangers on Bank Holiday Monday 1959. I think we beat Wrexham but I can't really remember. I was 5. Been a fan ever since.

Well, I suppose you would call me an armchair supporter, It's difficult to get to games now from where I live but I have followed Rangers for many years as did my father and grandfather and was a season ticket holder in the Lower Loft.

I have been to about 60 grounds following my team around the country, but yes, I am an armchair supporter now,
