Car Insurance 13:01 - Oct 3 with 6359 views | LoftusR | My 20 year old daughter passed her driving test today. She has already bought a 1.2 ltr Fiesta. Value about £1000 Now she has a full license she can insure the car in her name. Got a first quote via moneysupermarket. Only gave one quote for £7500!!! Got a second quote from Gogirl who specialise in female drivers for £14k. Any bright ideas?

As long as the older drivers are under 70 it seems. Mrs MinT reached 70 and when we renewed last month for her it had gone from £279 to now £584... I first thought it was a mistake. So we were told to put a YOUNGER driver on... in steps middle daughter and it is now down to £405!!!! Bloody hell I remember her passing her test and I was her named driver for 4 years... the moral of this story I guess is don't get old

Passports - Had to renew my British one last year, and it was utterly effortless. Only took a month and would have been quicker but for me slowing the process. Blue too! Do a bloody good state funeral and coronation. British cuisine and wines massively underrated; beer/ale super; we'll have an election soon and it won't be rigged, the result accepted and hopefully, a seemless transition of power; we can be confident that whatever decision a judge hands down, s/he wasn't bribed in comparison to most countries; and British humour is the finest in the world, our music too. Helen Mirren, Dame Judy. GBBO - replicated around the world- Mary Berry, Bobby Charlton, jumpers for goalposts. It's coming home and if it doesn't, we'll put the kettle on and have a cuppa first! Not that I'd live there, but generally most things that the shower of caants currently in charge don't touch directly or indirectly work or will work well!
