BBM's winning mentality 16:19 - Jun 13 with 3235 viewsDale69er

Reading an article in the i newspaper re City's setup and the Academy. Apparently BBM is highly regarded "...for combining with a winning mentality..." Pity he didn't demonstrate it with the Dale

Shame that so few of his players come through isn't it?
Their starting lineup last Saturday consisted entirely of bought in players.

Rico Lewis and Cole Palmer came through to play in the first team this season. They are I'd say on par with most premier League clubs in that respect

So, it begs the question....where do all these winners that BBM manufactures, end up?

No idea. Usually sold off to lower League clubs. I think BBM is stealing a living there too.

I read a really good book about Academies last year.
They studied the City setup amongst others and it was noted that it has a separate budget which needs to generate income from transfer fees of around £15 million per season.
That’s why they were so happy to get £11 million for Gavin Bazunu last summer.
