Not usually a fan of this kind of music, or even live music, but a post-cancer John Prine singing in someone's living room is something else. Takes a while to get going, but the beauty of his lyricism, humanity and melodies are a joy.
"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."
What's that song we used to hear all the time? Seems like years since I've heard it? Something pork related? Pig-bra? No, pig-bag, that was it, pig-bag. Never hear it any more, must have gone out of fashion.
Some really good ones above. Smoky Robinson 'Tears Of A Clown', how good is that? 'Tracks Of My Tears' is another great one of his And Cream's 'I'm So Glad' another fine one, although prefer the Fresh Cream album version. 'Sweet Wine' another excellent track off that album.
If you like this sort of music, I urge you to go and see All or nothing. I've seen the full version in London, and a condensed version at the Half Moon in Putney.
