This is the game that Russell Martin has to win according to some. It could be the game that he doesn’t win but might do. If it’s a draw then he won’t have won the game, but certainly won’t have lost it. Welcome to the Swansea Independent matchday thread for people.

Can I be a moderator I will only enforce bans for excessive moaning the site maybe a bit quiet for a while
Well if you are "happy" after that you are easily pleased
Im always happy when we win but lets be honest convincing it wasnt and when you consider it was against a team down to 10 men who are bottom of the league and they have 10 players out and they nearly got a point out of it......

I didn't see it but some just grumble no matter what.
If it made me that miserable don't think I would bother going.

It was terrible.
We played the bottom of the league with 10 men for over an hour and only got 3 points thanks to an own goal, the post, a stupid red card and missed free header.
Sorinola looked good which says it all.
Another hammering is in the post.
We played " 10 men for over an hour", that's not true is it. You also forgot to add that WE hit the post. What was so stupid about the 2nd yellow card = red card?

If half the chances ( same old story ) went in everyone would be happy.

but they didn't and despite them being poor we allowed them to equalise and get close.....dont get me wrong I'm happy with a win but again it is just pampering over the cracks
Bottom of the table, reduced to ten men and Blackpool could easily have got something from that game. It's increasingly looking like the players would just prefer Russy to be gone.
Trying to play a system that requires pace and width after making sure that almost no players possessing either or both remain at the club.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We just needed a win.
It was a win, just about. Own goals do count.
Football is a confidence game, so will have done us good to get over the line.
A good Swans team would have put 4 on this Blackpool outfit.
Confidence was low going into the game, we got the 3 points but how it was win isn't going to shoot the confidence up massively but its a step in the right direction.
That group of players and management are at rock bottom with confidence.......shocking window and then hammer blows in results after it.
No excusing tonight but we have played some good football in other games and got less than we did tonight.

But they were chances. We killed them first half.
We didn't though we got the lead and seemed to settle on it, Grimes, Cundle Fulton and other's spent most of the time just passing the ball around each other no urgency to get a second goal just dawdling on the ball and basically just taking time out of the game, 2nd half we were actually worse.

There were plenty of chances I watched it with my rose tinted specs on, and we hit the post.

I'm not normally negative but honestly if tonight is a vision of the future direction this team is heading then we are in trouble . did anyone notice the bench when Blackpool scored , Martin may have been seeking advice I couldn't say but the only one on our bench to react was Gill with Martin a very distant second , I do do feel for the guy he's trying his best I'm really moving towards he's not the right fit for the Club , certainly not with the players he has .

Sent off in 57 minutes so that is 33 minutes plus storage time not an hour.

He’s one game in to his eight ( apparently Boro are not for five games ) based on tonight of course we won’t win any of them. Especially Middlesbrough. I’m leaning towards agreeing, it’s sad, but he won’t be sorting out a direct debit on his gas and electric bill when he leaves, so that’s a bonus.
