Good: We were very good for 70 minutes. Allen looks a great fit, he and Grimes get on like a house on fire. Ntcham starting to show what he's made of.

Bad: Games last longer than 70 minutes. Sorinola is crap, doesn't do anything. Obafemi's first touch is abysmal, if he sorts it out he's a PL player.

Ugly: Manning's diving and shithousery honestly makes me happy to see him get decked now and then. There's a few in the team now who love to flop around after no contact and scream and whinge at the ref afterwards, but he's just so obviously trying to wind people up it gets a bit much.

Pull him out of the team, it worked last year!

Wasn't happy when he chickened out of a 60/40 in his favour in the 2nd half......not good at all.

I think Piroe was guilty of what you say but don’t be a maniac - he’s our best player by a country mile. You and Raynor (no surprise) must have missed the amount of link up play he was involved with .

Our real problem was no replacement full/wing backs and joe still finding his way to full fitness (so having to leave the field just after the hour mark).

Out play otherwise warranted at least four goals .

Each time I go to Bedd - au........................

Did anyone notice in the second half the ref blow for a free kick grab the ball and throw it to the Millwall player who took a quick free kick. Never seen that before,

Surely fatigued after coming back from injury.
If Martin thinks Wood is a better option there is no hope!

Nope, not fatigued. Dropped.

If substitute are needed to protect returning injured players or players on a yellow card fine but bringing on Cabango on the left hand side where he has never been comfortable is a no for me. Darling was looking comfortable playing on the lefthand side of the defensive so surely Cabango should have played in the middle with the old head Naughton along side him instead of further upsetting the defense by moving one of our most senior experienced players Naughton out to the right.

This is one of Martins failings he puts players into their "weaker" areas he did it last season playing Cabango ( who is stronger on his right side ) on the left side and Burns ( played at PL and Champions League on the left side) on the right.

Why he didnt leave Darling on the left and then put Cabango on the right with Naugthon in the middle?

Makes more sense to me...it doesnt seem that Martin has the nous it happens too often

He doesnt want to be here

ATM he's a one season wonder, PL aint gonna be interested with such an attitude, players need to know once you reach a level , youve gotta work at it, to keep it. 2nd season is going to be harder for him, as teams are aware of his style.

weve had these wonder boys before, hes gotta dig in and dig deep.

If that is the case (personally I think it is just a confidence thing ) then Piroe wants to take a leaf out of Obafemi's book

What clown thought it was a good idea to bring in Sorinola, whoever it was needs his arse kicking, and what clown picks the guy, he brings absolutely zero to the table.

We've brought in some crap players over the years, Sorinola isn't quite in that category yet, but given more game time, I'm sure he'll get there.

Absolutely thrilled with the first half performance (despite playing with 10 men) but after the final whistle I was absolutely gutted.

But looking at the bright side, at least we scored 4 goals.

That’s the problem now we don’t have someone of the skill set of Whittaker.
Piroe having a few games in the bench and some competition would help. We have nobody now who can do that.

Hence my question the other day regarding the loans and a recall, I was hoping that the club had learnt something from our relegation year, lending Ollie out , who became a hero and scorer where he went, and at the time he was one of the few here showing any enthusiasm for a fight (so to speak )

and here we are with an issue now with Latibeaudiere.

Hopefully we are all panicking and Piroe comes out firing on all cylinders and on top,

I'm confident Piroe can regain his goal scoring form, because he has IMO bags of talent, and genuine talent will always shine through eventually.

What does concern me, is the lack of talent we have in many areas of our first team squad, and the lack of urgency from the club to strengthen those weaknesses.

The squad is weak as.
I find it very difficult to say this is a better squad than Cooper had.
Because it isn’t.

If the squad was strong we wouldn’t have Sorinola playing and wouldn’t be missing Latibeaudiere who at best is average, just my opinion, others apparently are available.

I’d take this squad or the options Martin has had, over what Cooper had any day.

He had bare bones and had to use his nous to bring in players on loan. Martin does the same… except signs expensive players from MK Dons.

He got rid of the likes of Bidwell and signed Sorinola. It’s literally Martin’s man, which he also did with Laird last season.

He also has Ogbeta and absolute speed merchant, but has bombed him out.

If anyone thinks the squad isn’t strong then there is only one man to blame for that.

Nobody seems to have a go at our captain and official defensive midfielder when he does exactly the same.

Am I correct in thinking that there’s a fair proportion of posters on here and maybe in our fanbase who are demonizing our best goalscorer for years (24 in the championship) because he’s not going in hell for leather tackle wise?

I’d counter that Obafemi should have made it 3-1 (or ironically gave the ball to Piroe) and this conversation would not be occurring.

A few people including Daps (main protagonist) have lost their feckin minds. Surreal

Or maybe play him as the main striker (24 goals) and not just shoehorn him into the team to accommodate Obafemi (9 goals?).

I’m dismayed at the treatment he’s getting on here tonight. Without his input for the goal we’d not have beaten Blackpool.

As it goes Nrynnie, I have had a go at Grimes and I think that Piroe played quite well last night....he chickened out of one tackle last night but I think his all round game wa pretty good, he just needs that one goal to kick his season off.
