Match Thread: Rochdale vs Plymouth on 15:42 - Feb 20 by Barrowdale | There is no plan. We are bereft of any ideas |
0-0 at HT. The quality of their attacks a bit better than ours & a great save by Bazunu ensured we didn't get off to a disastrous start. Danny Mayor looks a threat for them and has done Osho a couple of times. All to play for but we are the team that needs to step up our attacks
Match Thread: Rochdale vs Plymouth on 15:53 - Feb 20 with 2945 views | DMR90 | I appreciate we’re a counter attacking side but we can’t seem to build an attack. No balls that break their midfield line. There’s no bravery, we turn around and play it backwards, often to Bazunu. It ends up with their defence and off we go again. Tough watch this, Plymouth should be 1 or 2 ahead
Match Thread: Rochdale vs Plymouth on 15:53 - Feb 20 with 2939 views | Shun | Not a bad half. Playing alright. Humphrys using his strength and having a good battle with their defence. Baah trying but getting frustrated. Rathbone and Shaughnessy playing well. Osho struggling against the impressive Mayor. Bazunu doing well, including one sublime piece of defending on the edge of his box.
Match Thread: Rochdale vs Plymouth on 15:58 - Feb 20 with 2813 views | dawlishdale | Well; we've managed 45 minutes at home without them scoring, but we do look disjointed at times, and when we have the ball; it looks like an awful pitch yet when Plymouth have it, they seem better able to pass properly. I can't recall us having a good chance, whilst they could have scored a couple. Mayor looks a class act, and plays some delightfully weighted passes. Overall; they look better than us, but we've beaten better teams before, so why not today eh? On the plus side, Ollie is having a really good game, and Keohane (never thought I'd say it) has done well apart from a couple of lapses. McShane knows how to organise things, but has mistimed a couple of challenges (he's hardly played recently, so will be rusty) What bothers me is our willingness to slow our own attacks down (Newby the main culprit) and our lack of movement off the ball in midfield (Shaughnessy and Morley are like statues at times)

Have you applied for the Sporting Director role? Mclaughlin on for Osho

Match Thread: Rochdale vs Plymouth on 16:09 - Feb 20 with 2608 views | electricblue | Whos to that the plan is McLaughlin is on bench and Osho at RB just incse mr fragile gets crocked. Then McLaughlin comes on at RB and osho drops in as CH. Aslong as Mcnulty dont come on.....

Baah looked isolated up front. He's so much better and more effective deeper as a runner and beating people

Match Thread: Rochdale vs Plymouth on 16:39 - Feb 20 with 2037 views | 442Dale | It isn’t brilliant, but there has to be a balanced assessment and this is much more like the performances seen two years ago. An obvious change in approach at the back as defenders don’t come short at goal kicks/keeper going long when he has it in his hands and we look to play in their half. It might be frustrating that we haven’t been doing it for weeks but this is exactly the approach that gives us a better chance in games.

He had the best effort of the game so far, forcing an excellent save. However; you better check with grumpy old Tony.
