Two at this address. Could the Trust be asking the members the same question and tell the Board of their findings. Match Thread: Rochdale vs Milton Keynes on 21:26 - Feb 9 by James1980 | Surely with the players we have in the squad we could at least try to grind out a run of results even if that is just to go unbeaten for a few games. [Post edited 9 Feb 2021 21:27]

You can't go unbeaten very long James conceding the amount we've done ALL season,

Match Thread: Rochdale vs Milton Keynes on 21:36 - Feb 9 by Quigley_dale | The spotlight should definitely be on the board, as well as the manager. Who sanctioned the risk signings/resignings of so many injury prone players? Why when it was evident our main priority was to sign a left back in January, did we fail to do so? Why as a supposedly professional tier 3 football club have we not owned a Goalkeeper or left back being deemed capable to play at our level? It seems we're more concerned with professionalism off the field, than on it! [Post edited 9 Feb 2021 21:37]

Absolutely right about the spotlight It's all well and good making appearances on TV & radio trying to establish a profile in the EFL hierarchy. There's some serious work to be done now and it's time to show some balls where it actually counts, and call the manager into the boardroom The only question is: now or give him one more game? BBM could simply turn round and claim he's been carrying out the club philosophy, and tbf he'd have a point

We can't even do them!! Morley shoots every game and hasn't hit the target yet!

Match Thread: Rochdale vs Milton Keynes on 21:32 - Feb 9 by dingdangblue | He signed Lonergan and McShane so he can. Bazunu is a liability now though - he looks like a kid in goal and I can't see where a clean sheet is coming from. He's getting absolutely no protection from his defenders. Every game is a car crash waiting to happen. Hopefully there are some harsh words in the changing room and the players and manager can clear the air - Humphrys certainly will be saying things the way he just ran down the tunnel when subbed - something needs to happen tonight. |
I have to say that we do have a particularly nice tunnel, probably in the top tunnels at our level. A tunnel that earns us the right to sit at the top table and represent the rest of tunnel-owning clubs and assert our parity with the tunnels of the likes of Sunderland and Ipswich. We fought off tough competition from fancy-dan tunnelled clubs down south for Humps signature and I am pretty damn sure his ambition to sprint up a tunnel was that it had to be our tunnel.

It looks like that nice friendly comment has been deleted. What's the harm in Brian selecting the 11 players that will play best using the tactics from when he first took over and giving that a try?

This has crossed my mind, and its an interesting question of who is the most culpable for the mess we find ourselves in. A stronger, more experienced manager may have demanded more from the board possibly. Either way, he's two seasons in now, its make or break for him personally as a manager, you make your bed... Match Thread: Rochdale vs Milton Keynes on 21:51 - Feb 9 with 1674 views | rich_dale | Playing Lund at centre forward isn't working. Yes he scored tonight but he was already doing that consistently from midfield. We're missing his presence, bite and control in the middle - he looks frustrated and not as happy playing further forward. Agree it's time to rest Roberts - a promising footballer but lacking defensive nous. Osho is probably our best central defender now and not a full back. Bazunu needs coaching. Shaughnessy was the only positive for me tonight, looks like he can give us a bit of physicality and composure in the spine of the team, although the long throw weapon threatens upsetting our misfiring purist philosophy.
Match Thread: Rochdale vs Milton Keynes on 21:51 - Feb 9 with 1672 views | DMR90 | Seen some comments on social media mentioning our new signings need time to bed in Tonight MK Dons started Darling, Laird, O’Riley, Jules and Grigg all of whom were signed in the January transfer window. Was very impressed tonight with the Dons who came into the game in good form. Had some players in midfield who could put their foot on the ball and pick a pass.

I feel so very sorry for BBM, steeped in real sporting games, but will be judged, in part, by a game player.

Has there been much from the Trust since the AGM? When was the last time they had a “questions for the board” meeting with the club?

Maybe ask re the LB. When did Brian identify the chap from Blackpool as a target? Did they say no straight away and we tried to coax them into releasing their play or did it look like he was heading to Rochdale and the rug was pulled out from under us at the last minute?

But he didn’t even need to employ the exact same tactics, just focus more on defending as a priority and leave the forward players to carry on as they were when we have the ball in the opponents half. The harm is the passing of time as it could and should have been sorted already.

There are far bigger questions than that, James Our fate won't be determined by the failure to sign a LB not making the first team at one of our rivals
