Ok, just for clarity:
Most important airport : Thorney, even though it's in Sussex, or Farnborough
Biggest Ice Rink : Gosport
Most important football stadium : Portsmouth
All time biggest football stadium : Portsmouth
Most interesting Cruise Port : Portsmouth
Most interesting cricket stadium : Portsmouth
Biggest conurbation ; Well, I think you know the answer

"Biggest Cruise Port" I must admit you are right there, when I have been down the ironically named The Hard in Pompey by the Naval Port I have always seen a lot of people cruising.

Do they still do favours for Sailors down there

Now it all makes sense.

Pompeys number one fan (130) is not in fact sat in his armchair when the mighty Pompey are playing, he is out 'cruising'.

Ready and waiting to mop up those European places......

It's difficult I know, but It is all stated in black and white above, Portsmouth isn't the biggest cruise Port ; that is Soton. And when the punters arrive en masse at your port, they do have a good choice of cruising venues, bars, pubs, nightclubs, theatres, concert halls, gay bars etc, whereas Pompey just has bars, pubs, nightclubs, drinking establishments by the water, theatres, concert halls, seafronts, castles, forts, museums etc,

Nope, it's because it was hard to land a boat there due to the strong tides, they should rename your stadium 'the hard' , because it's hard to land a trophy it seems.

Any particular reason for mentioning Southampton having gay bars but not Portsmouth?

More bullsh1t from you again !!

The Hard at Portsmouth was named due to the clay that was deposited on the coastline at low tide, which was rolled and dried until hard - in order to create a slipway for boats and ships.

Bucklers Hard was named in the late 1700's, with the 'Hard: part of the name coming from the then local dialect, meaning a firm landing place for a boat or ship.

But hey, You carry on twisting things and moving goal posts to suit your own wacky agenda.

Nick mentioned cruising, so I have listed the establishments in both cities that could cater for this facility. I don't think there is a gay bar in Pompey.

That area was famous for mud-larking, look at a map of the harbour, it's a pinch-point, the flow is always high, and it was always difficult to land a boat there. having a hard landing was always going to happen, but that is not why it's called the hard, unlike Priddy's Hard across the water.

I just state facts moosh, Portsmouth harbour is more interesting than Southampton water, you don't have to be a genius to understand that, Fratton park is the most important stadium because it's a multi-title winning and cup winning ground, and it's been the biggest. Portsmouth has a bigger conurbation.

Just because you don't like facts, it doesn't make them untrue.

Yep, buffoon you most certainly are!

Stating Nottarf Krap is the most important stadium is not a FACT, it's your opinion, which you have tried to support with a couple of facts.

And as much as you don't like it, Southampton is the biggest city, FACT!
