Millwall Match Thread on 21:52 - Apr 10 with 3149 views | Northernr | That was better. The effort was there, we pressed, we tackled, we worked hard, we looked like we had watched the opposition and come up with a plan. We were the better team. Not enough goal threat, and not enough ambition to push on and win in the final 30, but that was better. Way better than I expected.

Millwall Match Thread on 22:03 - Apr 10 with 2879 views | stainrods_elbow | Then why do I still feel depressed? Meh is about as good as it gets, and that's pushing it. A shout-out for Reading - scoring in the 97th minute against the champions elect to get a draw. As soon as we get to mathematical safety, assuming we now can, I don't want to see most of these players till next August, and then only reluctantly. Mind you, the bullcrap about 'professionalism' (aka not telling it like it is) on this board tonight really made me puke tonight, and was, for me, just as bad as the last three months from my team, if not worse. If Clive's allowed his truth-telling bile, I'm allowed my massively curbed enthusiasm. But I'm sure one or two will see fit to dig me out regardless. PS O yeah, 0-0 at the Wall! Woo hoo! Indeed; basics, which have been missing of late, were there. Should improve confidence a little ahead of 2 vital upcoming matches at home.

I said that to Clive and a few others some weeks back. Why not play BOS with Smith up front? It is a bit silly to have Wells "running" off Smith's headers. BOS is fast and a combination of a tall player and a fast player is much better than Smith and Wells/Hemed. It may also give BOS some more confidence in front of goal.

My point being stats mean nothing. Rotherham could have had all tame shots that the goalie easily gathered and Villa had shots where the Rotherham goalie played a blinder. Or, the other way around. Stats mean nothing, the only thing that counts is the final score. When we won 1-0 at Chelsea, they had something like 25 shots on goal. I think 2 were on target and the rest hit row Z. They out-midfield us that game but we did what they didn't and that was to score. The game i showed the stats above for looks quite evenly matched doesnt it? Brazil 1 Germany 7 Stats mean little when you are battered like that.

Yep me too. The last good run started with a 0-0... Poor game overall though...
