BREAKING!! Corbyn endorses campaign for second EU referendum! on 18:10 - Feb 26 by JACKMANANDBOY | If there is no majority for any option we end up staying in the EU which is what 75 percent of MPs voted for in the referendum. |
Our sovereign parliament taking back control.

Parliament are only in control when the EU allow them.

The default position as highjack keeps pointing out is that we leave on 29 March, deal or no deal. No amount of non binding motions will change that unless the law changes.

That’s right. Apparently the Speaker has a hidden minature ear piece and Tusk and Juncker take it in turns to direct him. The division lobbies also have electomagnetic fields remotely controlled by Brussels which are designed to disorientate MP’s prior to a critical vote.

If parliament votes to leave with no deal or parliament votes to revoke A50, the EU cannot alter either decision.

And of course EU law was only ever able to take precedence over UK law cos parliament legislated to allow that to happen and could have legislated to stop that happening at any time.

BREAKING!! Corbyn endorses campaign for second EU referendum! on 21:19 - Feb 25 by LeonWasGod | Jules’ post isn’t informative, it’s probably spreading misinformation. There’s apparently no evidence for that quote being real (it seems to be attributed to a Tory who was suggesting what, in his view, Monnet might have supported, contrary to Monnet’s actual views that have been documented) and spread by conspiracy theory websites. Doom and gloom. Last estimate was this has cost us ~£80bn in lost growth, and needed £50bn QE stimulus to avoid worse. That’s -£945m a week. Job losses, companies moving out, international organisations withdrawn, withdrawal from collaborative science programmes, loss of front line staff in the NHS, banks moving £bns of assets out of UK, multi-nation families being split apart, inward investment collapsed. All happened, not “guestimates” but reality now. Take your head out of the sand - it’s one big exercise in self harm. All your state of the nation moans are a result of national and regional politics: Transport - lack of investment in infrastructure & privatisation = UK & devolved governments decisions Highstreets - out of town shopping centres (local planning decisions), internet shopping (technological devp) Foodbanks - result of Tory policies Homeless - result of Tory policies Crime - been going down, not up |

Yes ,while at the same time having to pump in millions of pounds a day into an organisation run by unelected bureaucrats to sustain the failing economies of the european superstate project. When was the last time the EU had their accounts audited ?? oh they haven't have they, ever . Never mind good old blighty will put their hands in their pockets again. ....and .....again ....and again.

When you are in the EU the ECJ automatically takes precedent over English law nothing to do with our parliament legislating for it to do so. It's the same for all member countries.

Yeah you’re wrong. We’re only subject to EU treaties and subsequently the ECJ cos the UK parliament legislated to allow for it.

Fill yer boots. https://www.eca.europa.eu/en/Pages/ecadefault. From my own experience EU programmes are subject to considerably more stringent auditing than UK public funded programmes (often too much, it's one thing I won't miss).

I sat next to an ex-soldier from the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders last week. He was on the next little table to me in the hall. We were both taking the German citizenship test. We got talking and it turned out that I was working as a student at Mercier barracks in Osnabruck in the seventies at the same time as he was stationed there as a young squaddie. We both agreed that Brexit was a complete and utter fecking waste of time and money. “Good old blighty” has screwed up big time.

Roughly translated as Blair Brown etc. signing off our sovereignty bit by bit .I was never arguing that .The point I was making was that when you join the "club" the ECJ takes primacy over English law. The vehicle that allows this to happen is irrelevant .The fact is in any conflict between the house of Lords and the ECJ on a matter of law there will only be one winner. "This principle of 'primacy' or supremacy of EU law has been accepted and applied by national courts including the UK courts. ... But UK courts are required not to enforce UK laws to the extent that they are incompatible with EU obligations."

BREAKING!! Corbyn endorses campaign for second EU referendum! on 14:14 - Feb 26 by Ace_Jack | An overwhelming majority of Labour voters voted remain. Backing Brexit would almost certainly split the party whereas backing a second referendum avoids an irrecoverable split. |
How do you know an overwhelming majority of labour voters voted to remain? There was no question on the ballot paper which asked which party you supported in the referendum. The only verifiably fact was 60% of labour constituencies voted to leave. Also labour manifesto in the last general election was in favour of supporting the referendum result.

Like all remoaners he's happy to make up any BS and blatantly lie. Labour know full well the vast majority of their voters outside London voted leave and the MPs in the Midlands and Northern towns are Shi tting themselves.

Academic evidence and polling says the overwhelming majority of Labour voters voted remain. Even in Labour held leave voting seats, the evidence says that a majority of Labour voters voted remain. There is literally no evidence to suggest otherwise. https://yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/articles-reports/2016/06/27/how-britain-vot https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/feb/27/labour-vote-referendum-jer An overwhelming number of Labour members and Labour voters want Britian to remain in the EU. There is no appetite from leave voters or remain voters for Corbyn's Brexit in Name Only hogwash. It's time for the party to grow a spine and stand up for what its members and voters believe is the right thing to do, which is to put an end to this madness and campaign to remain in the EU.
