Official club fixture app says Spurs vs Rochdale is Weds 28th February (8pm KO) on 15:31 - Feb 20 by UnmoderatedCF

Hopefully the Brighton line will be running ok!

Seems to be ok at the mo (ie, no engineering scheduled). Last direct Brighton train from Victoria is 23.32pm - will get that easily as long as there is no extra time etc.

I'm rather hoping to be in a fountain in Trafalgar Square celebrating the win...

Stick them on open sale, not a chance in heck of us selling out.

My guess is 3000-4000 Dale fans max but would be happy to be completely wrong (upwards) on this.

Season ticket holders should be at least given 1 day priority purchase in my opinion. Then open sale.

I'm not sure they'd be able to do anything with regards to stubs as you'd need to make fans aware of this before the game - the large majority will have probably binned their ticket in a drunken stupor.

I hate to get all billy big bollocks but I really wish they would have done so because I didn't get a season ticket this year and the day tripper general sale orgy is gonna be a right pain in the arse...especially if it's on a day people can't get down there.

Be nice if we could queue up inside the Main Stand too i.e. up the stairs and into the main bar. We've got the Beast from the East coming in from Siberia (think he's cup-tied).

that's crucial to season ticket sales next season as much as anything. Like you said, only needs to be a day, but it needs to happen.

There's loads of time here.

It could be ST holders right up to Saturday with general sale from Sunday onwards

Game is on Wednesday and like at Wembley for the Stockport game I don't see anyone missing out here.

Far far too late for everyone planning travel arrangements, not even knowing if they've even got a ticket till at least the Sunday at the earliest.
ST holders rightly should have priority but a day is plenty being so close to the actual game too

Was just thinking that the club could perhaps announce that people who attend the fixture against MK Dons will get a stub and this will give them priority after the season ticket holder window ends (whenever that is). After all, we could do with all the support we can get and it would be a good ploy to try and retain some of the fans that attended vs Spurs...

That would be my thought too. Have maybe a day or so when ST-holders can buy 1 ticket, and from then on have them on open sale with less stringent restrictions than for the home leg. I want to buy a fair number of tickets for friends and family (who all came on Sunday, but were in the Sandy) and, naturally, we all want to sit together. That'll be near impossible if restrictions are in place in a similar way to the home leg.

And that’s still possible, season ticket holders who want to wait until day two/whenever of sales can do so. They just have priority should they choose to use it.

Edit: you bloody edited edit.

As a season ticket holder I personally think it should be just an open sale. Term time on a Wednesday night is not good for many people, also the short notice may make it difficult to get time off from work. I suspect that anyone who wants a ticket will get one no problem.

Judging by threads on here I think if you're going, you're planning travel now. It's not as if London is the end of the world either and most will drive or get the coach given midweek options of getting home from Wembley by public transport are few.

Worst case if you do not get a ticket in the Dale end then you will get one in the Spurs end.

I'd imagine giving ST holders a couple of days so maybe Thursday / Friday for them then general sale.

We've 2000 season ticket holders so even at one each that's a lot of admin to get through in 24 hours for the folks in the office.

That’s another reason to stagger the sales, helps out the club who would struggle with everyone turning up at once.

I agree, and for the reasons you've quoted, i'd hope that people will be able to buy up to 4 tickets so they can sit with their friends/family

Having 4 people traipsing up to the club separately and getting tickets away from those they want to sit with is a nonsense, edit: as well as adding to the admin burden in the sale office

Once in the ground of course, people can perhaps adjust their seating accordingly (and that's a different debate to having someone sat in your ST seat at COA btw!)

Common sense.

I don't know what our biggest midweek away following is (TVOS?) but if we were to sell all the tickets that would smash it.

It's Wednesday, a school night and in London and I can't see over 5,000 going myself.

That will be an amazing Dale turnout but the nature of cup replays means that turnaround times are and always will be tight.

On open sale I hope, On a Wednesday night with the possibility of extra time and penalty's ( it could happen ) its going to be early morning before we get back to Rochdale. It ok for us who are retired, not so good for anyone with work.

The amount per person is an interesting one. The ST holders tickets should be reserved for whatever time period (1 or 2 days) and then they become available for anyone to buy. That’s about 2500, but if they were allowed 4 each...

It’s difficult, but 2 per ST holder would leave at least 2000 for open sale, but we know it’ll be many more than that as all the kids won’t be going for a start.

I was thinking of adult ST holders - around 1800? If they were able to purchase perhaps 3 tickets + 1 junior ST ticket or 2+2 (since it's unlikely many juniors will be travelling alone) that'd still leave plenty for open sale

Probably Old Trafford in the 80's when it was a rearranged fixture. We sold over 10000 for the original game.

If we can prove we need 10,000 tickets in a 90,000 arena we are going to get them. So no issue of anybody missing out. I suggest we open sales tomorrow for STs as soon as they become available, Reserve 2500x 2 for season ticket holders. Allow the other 2000 allocation for non STs immediately too. That way everybody that wants one and attends tomorrows game can get one.

The club then assesses demand tomorrow night and decides whether they ask Spurs for more that can be sold later in the week

But seriously - does anybody think we will have more than 5000 there for a midweek fixture?

I think 1 day for season ticket holders to buy 2 tickets is a sensible option. Most family and friends who sit together can do so at Wembley with + 1 for any extra family/friends : that should still leave around half the allocation left for open sale.

The maximun permitted attendance for this game is 51,000. Our allocation of tickets is 15% of that which equates roughly to 7,500.

Newport sold all their allocation. I would think it optimistic to say we could sell all of our tickets, but if we do, so much the better.

Season ticket holders should be permitted to buy no more than 3 per ticket, which, if all are claimed (c.6,000) would leave well over 1,000 to go on open sale.

I doubt tthere would be the demand, for a midweek night game, in London, that is also live on TV.

It's not just a midweek game in London though - it's Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup at Wembley - very unique and never going to EVER happen again.

As others have said, there are folk who have work commitments on the same day and the following day.

Add to that, the school age supporters who won't be able to go and the likely total of supporters is much less than miht be expected for a daytime game at weekend...

Or of course, absentees from work and school truancies will 'spike' for two consecutive days 😁
