Another Siggy Update on 17:50 - Jul 28 by Tummer_from_Texas | He's got the chance to make almost double his current wages. It's not as simple as saying he doesn't want to play for Swansea anymore. |
where do you get theses figures from? ,this is Everton mind and more than likely another load of bullshyte

Another Siggy Update on 15:31 - Jul 28 by JonTheJack | Watching them last night, it was clear to me that they are possibly one of the worst clubs he could transfer to. As has just been said, he will be contending with Klaasen and Rooney for that no.10 spot because Rooney is nowhere near good enough to play up top anymore. Definitely for what Everton appear to be aspiring to with this shopping spree. |
I think Rooney could happily sit in at Centre Mid and break up play and distribute the ball about, probably suit him at this stage of his career, he's still a quality footballer.

Another Siggy Update on 17:47 - Jul 28 by raynor94 | Well when someone doesn't want to play for my club, I'd prefer it if they left |
That's a rather simplistic way of looking at it. Using your logic, you'd have no players at the club, because I'd imagine they'd all want to leave for £60,000 a week increase in their wages. I hope he stays, one of the best players, ever to have put on a Swans shirt.

The reported amount he'll be making is 130K/week, and I don't think that's far fetched at all. I would assume he's somewhere close to 70K here. So that's nearly twice as much.

The man who put a transfer request in after we had turned down 2 previous bids from Bristol City, and finally sold him for a £1 million, yes I was a big fan

Another Siggy Update on 05:53 - Jul 29 with 2211 views | AnotherJohn | I see that there are dark rumours about Siggy's behaviour on the Jack Army website, and these have been pounced upon by posters on the Everton forum. Whether he stays or goes I hope he doesn't help Everton put one over on us (any more than he has already).
Another Siggy Update on 06:42 - Jul 29 with 2162 views | NOTRAC | Sad that Sigurdsson is being blamed. The Everton deal was agreed weeks ago.Just waiting for August.New financial year Why add £40m plus to the £30m profits from Williams and Ayew. Sigurdsson knew he was going in August. Was told he wouldn't be risked in American matches.Probably said why bother, club agreed. Not playing in Birmingham match virtually proves this .Careful in training not to risk injury. He will be gone by the end of next week. Then all systems go.Part spend on new players.Bad start to season. No time to blend in. Clement unhappy.Pressures build and a relegation battle from day one. Sad. [Post edited 29 Jul 2017 6:47]

If that scenario is correct (no reason to doubt it) then from Monday on I would suspect PC & co will be actively signing new players who are also lined up, ready for the Gylfi transfer to trigger the events. I feel we'll be fine without Gylfi, although I'd love him to stay £40+ million is crazy money though

Profits from Williams and Ayew? We signed Llorente, Baston, Mawson, Carroll, Olson, Ayew and Narsingh?
Another Siggy Update on 07:51 - Jul 29 with 2047 views | NOTRAC | Accounts and tax work in a strange way as far as football is concerned.Profits on player sales are based on amortised values. The amortised value of Williams was virtually nil.Ayew's was similar because we paid no transfer fee. Purchases of players cannot be charged in full (unless bought on a one year contract). Cost of players mentioned would be written to accounts over period of their contract.Value of Sigurdsson in accounts is relatively low. Cost £10m less amortisation over three years with allowance for signing new contract. Therefore most of transfer proceeds less agents costs etc added to accounts. Not good idea when £30m profit already there. Safest bet in football? Sigurdsson will not be officially transferred next Monday, July 31st. [Post edited 29 Jul 2017 7:53]

Fair enough, you obviously know what you're talking about there. I just assumed sales would be offset by incoming transfers. It's obviously not that simplistic

It looks like goodbye, he should be playing today to gain match fitness otherwise. The only way to improve match fitness is to play games.

We'll see how crazy & how far £40m goes by who we get in. Prepare for major disappointment & certain relegation battle, unable to score goals at one end & found out at the other. Such a shame that when we should be strengthening for survival, we are actually planning for failure.

Any remaining doubters of him moving to Everton should now resign themselves to a farewell. It's safe to assume that there has been lots going on in the background concerning Siggy; let us hope the same applies for two or three incoming deals on the back of £40m revenue.
