Watching in the pub we were critical from the off that we' we're concentrating too much on the centre and not closing them down in wide positions.
As the game went on it seemed we were prepared to let the cross come in and deal with it centrally. Maybe because Liverpool do not have great height up front and the danger comes on the deck. They got one outright goal from a cross and it was a good header with a man marking. It may have been a tactic with Clem confident AM and FF could cope with this. Will be interesting to see how we react when the threat is from a big centre forward converting crosses.
Llorente was a fine acample wasn't it? One hell of a goal :-)))) |  |

Watched it in a northern pub. Mostly neutral fans, but about half a dozen scousers. When Siggy stuck in the third I let out a massive roar & banged my pint pot down on the table. This was followed by a menacing total silence & the odd poisonous glare. Sat it out, tho, with a thumping heart waiting either for a Liverpool equalizer or a slap from behind or both. None of which happened, thankfully.
What a day.
