The new Xx album is patchy but overall I'm enjoying it. I'm another who thought they were overrated, but this album's more melodic, more complete. And warmer.
I couldn't find any Youtube links yesterday.
Some nice tips here, will check them all out, thanks!

No idea if they're actually touring anywhere this year, and they're not new for 2017, which was probably the point of this thread....so, yeah, sorry for that.
Anyway, you can thank me after delighting in them.
Nice find, cheers. Playing in Dallas soon apparently, if that helps anyone...
new album by a band featuring leading lights from a few big names in the american punk/hardcore scene. Pretty good, slightly garagey feel about it . Album is called 'surveillance', but i doubt if any of you are really interested!
If like me you like dins of the dubby/bassy kind, the new album from Sherwood and Pinch is rather wonderful. Nothing on YouTube so hope this SoundCloud link works:

Good to hear they're still going. Wore out my copy of this back in the day!
Soundtrack to my running. Check their Soundcloud page - they've some cracking mixes on there, esp the Glastonbury with Plump DJs. https://soundcloud.com/stantonwarriors
Never been a massive fan of theirs, but was listening to the new Shins record this morning, and it's got this lovely washed out, woozy ambience. Enjoyed it muchly.
Conversely the new Granddaddy was very disappointing
