Can't think of anyone I'd want???

Poll: Are we staying up?

Marco Silva- Linked to Wolves and Forrest before, did well at his other clubs too.

Paco Jemez- Part of the Spanish World Cup squad. His teams have an insane amount of possession, rivalling Barca and PSG. Im pretty sure QPR fans would get bored of that quickly.

Murat Yakin- Done well at other clubs

Never mind next manager...I think next owner might be the more pertinent question. If I owned us I would be off unless there was a clear way of getting some of my "investment" back by exploiting the OOC deal within the next few years.

As I am not the owner I look at Portsmouth and Wimbledon and see how happy and supportive their fans are without a sugar daddy. Maybe one day that will be us. Sh!t, local and proud of it.

Agree with this. You wonder if feelers are already out for someone to take it off their hands.

Well, I'm heading back behind the sofa with my fingers in my ears again until Christmas. I'll have peak out then to see of it is safe to come out before August.

Thank Christ for the cricket tour of India.

So....

Tim Sherwood
Chris Powell
Karl Robinson
Paul Ince
Nigel Pearson
Big Sam
Ian Holloway
Kenny jackett
Nigel Clough
Paulo di canio
Zola

Anyone else?

So when was Kenny Jackett sacked by Rotherham?

Clement would be my first choice now. Pearson would be good here as well imo . I think he's a no nonsense manager in the mould of Warnock that will shake the dressing room into life.

It will be one of Timmy or Robinson and as much as the feeling for young managers is , robinson would not work out,

Tims a shoe in and back to square one ( that is in no means me moaning about sacking jfh as he was pony)

Neil Ardley
Gareth Ainsworth
Warburton with Clint hill
Justin Edinburgh
Karl Robinson
Ollie & Birch
Clough ( although he wouldn't move from the Derby area)
Martin Allen

What a thoroughly uninspiring list.

I have often thought and stated that if invited Billy Power would make a great non exec addition to the board for insight and connection with the fans.....waddaya say TF?

And what insight would that be - how to sell your shares at a profit? He can fk right off.

Pssstttt... Clough is still at Burton too.

I'm pretty sure if we wanted him, we could get him.

Yeah and that would say loads about his loyalty, walking out on a team two weeks after taking over. If he took over and did well here he'd be off at the first sniff of the next bigger job....

I cant see many managers wanting to come here now, especially if they already have a job. This thread might as well be permanently stickied to the top of the message board every season.

Some awful managers currently out of work and there is a reason for that.

Missed the boat with Warnock and mclaren really.

for me, no tim sherwood....some suggest paul clement and he did look decent, if we had to find someone my mind thinks a duo if ainsworth and bircham to put some "feeling" back into the club.
bear in mind the lack of ambition by the management and comments for les ferdinand about no high expectations.

I wouldn't mind seeing Karl Robinson getting a spot on our conveyor belt for a few months.

What about Nigel Adkins? Did well at Southampton, OK at reading (who were in a mess) but not great at Sheffield united

What chance of a Southampton-like appointment? Someone off the radar who is good at coaching.

Yeah..... thought so.
