John Hollins on sky sports on 22:08 - Oct 13 with 2894 views | LaMariposa | John Hollins was the first manager of Swansea City to win a league title. Furthermore, Mathew Bound was the only individual to refuse the 3p in the pound offer as stated in the CVA. Try getting your facts right before disrespecting someone who contributed to our rich history.

Quite ironic considering there were at least two facts wrong in your first paragraph

So who managed us when we won the division three South title in 1948/49? Oh of course it was Swansea Town then wasn't it! Did John Hollins vote in favour then? No he didn't. He wished to vote against it, but his vote wasn't counted. So try getting your facts right is it?

Thought it was only Hollins and Bound that were against it and Hollins solicitor at the meeting had the wrong paper work so it was only Bound that voted against it. I won't argue if there was someone else though.

John Hollins on sky sports on 22:51 - Oct 13 with 2639 views | Darran | Peter Nicholas was funny as f*ck,the first thing he'd do at an away gane was go to reception and ask for the comps so he could give them to the fans outside,if there wasn't any there he'd go mental.

Apparently, he also had a habit of taking crates of booze from the away side for the journey home and told them to bill the club.

Genius. Things that jumped into my memory bank reading that was was the Aussie player Tim Cahills brother? Incredible to think that the team went up on the day to Macclesfield because we couldn't afford an overnight stay and the scale of 9/11 hadn't yet come through for us to play a few hours later.

He was nuts,I remember one game Halifax away where he really kicked off. If my memory serves me well there was snow everywhere and it was the first time I saw Huw Jenkins at an away game,he wasn't watching Swansea City for a few seasons at the time because he was chairman of Briton Ferry Athletic when the Petty nonsense was going on,he'd been invited to get involved and Dai Morgan had taken him to the game.

Effin ell! Tbh i think that was the last time i traveled to an away night game! Can't remember when it was was, but it was fvckin freezing and we lost! Don't think we've played Halifax since? But back to Nicholas, he was warned about taking booze, and not sure, but when he did it again at Shrewsbury (i think) it led to his sacking. Nick Rees would know the details better than i as i remember him posting about it at the time.

The first title won by our club was division three south in 1924/5 when the manager was the great Joe Bradshaw.
