Well I can't speak for anyone else but I for one appreciate all the hard work and generosity of time given by all those involved in the running of the Trust.

I think all the paid up members do. Or I hope they do. Doesn't stop us asking questions. Nor should it. The only thing that should stop is the personal abuse of people on the trust. No place for it when the trust are basically volunteers.
| If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious. |

Not at all tetchy, clearly the tongue in cheek tone that was in my head doesn't come through in the printed word

The co-opted Trust Board Member on 18:57 - Sep 4 by exiledclaseboy | Can't remember. I think some of them at least were existing co-opted members who were re-co-opted. Pretty sure Uxy's one and quite right too. He's lovely. |
Aw shucks. Love you too Clasey Anyway, no I didn't stand for election. Did give it some considerable thought however given a whole host of personal circumstance issues (work in particular) I felt I couldn't commit to 2 years at this time. 1 year is more manageable though. Anyway, as for future elections, I tend to agree with the view that to be coopted you should have also gone through the election process, and if I stand next year it'll be for election.

Absolutely. I think Phil Suimbler should be beatified for the amount of his private life that he's prepared to put into the club's future - even though I don't agree with the board's direction. On a slightly different point - those 4 who were elected - their names mean nothing to me (or indeed anyone else on the board of the Trust). When these people put their names forward for selection, was there any mission statement from them? If so where would I find it? (more for next time round than this time). If not, then who would we know who to vote for?

For the elections, each candidate provided a candidate statement. They're available at http://www.swanstrust.co.uk/trust-elections/candidate-statements/ For the co-opted positions, they're decided by the Trust board. I know each of the candidates needed to provide ones, although I don't think they are online.
