True enough but I bet our wage bill has only increased this year and we're in a worse league position. We need to get back to our savvy best.

PL Club finance breakdown on 16:32 - May 26 by Landore_Jack | The figure quoted by the Guardian may be incorrect. If the figure is accurate I would like to know how. I thought the finances were healthy? [Post edited 26 May 2016 16:39]

With David Conn involved I doubt very much that the figures will be incorrect

That concerns me also, I suppose its down to the" free" transfers of Ayew and Gomis, also wasn't JJS a huge earner.

Thats a position of influence, i had been thinking on the 25% and missing the current picture. Hats off to our Trust.

PL Club finance breakdown on 10:37 - May 28 with 2105 views | felixstowe_jack | Most of the Debt is due to the accounts being for 14 months. Given our wage bill is about £6m a month that accounts for £12m. At the time of the accounts Man city had only paid half the £28m for Bony so that accounts for another £14m.

The owed Bony money would have been taken into account.

PL Club finance breakdown on 10:50 - May 28 with 2091 views | felixstowe_jack | Yes it would have been accounted for elsewhere but we would still have had to borrow from the bank until it was paid. Net Debt would be money owed to banks less any money in our bank account it would not include money owed by Man City.

So if we did borrow on the owed Bony money they cancel each other out.when you get to the bottom line.apart from the interest on the borrowed money.

We would only have got £28m for Bony if various targets were met, i.e. probably he had to start a minimum number of matches, score a minimum number of goals, City had to win the leage or the European Championship etc. so we won't get any of that. Not that I'm complaining.
