Its hard to know what to think about this, they've had similar thrashings this year already. Ramsey when he came in told the coaches not to worry about the scores or the winning, its all about player development, but surely
a) Getting thrashed each week is not conducive to development b) You need to have a winning attitude, its actually a big part of being a professional sportsman.
Is it all about the way we are approaching the youth, or is this the fruits of the Mike Rigg era, when we lost a lot of kids and we gained a load from just a couple of hertfordshire clubs. Or both?

Ramsay / the club put the cherry on the cake with the moves made in the youth department. Paul Hall has his UEFA Alicence but hasn't the experience to be involved at QPR. At Brentford they have ( not sure if he is still there } an English coach that belonged to the Barcelona youth serf up. They are very well set up. We covered over the cracks by having the excellent Steve Gallen run-in the show pretty much as a mom & pop shop. Perry Suckling , really?!!

It seems that every time I have a look at the official QPR site, our teams have always lost..U,21's, U18's...U16's...the elusive coaches going about there business ....jammy sods, good work if you can get it...!

This is the result of firing the majority of our coaching staff (by e-mail) and replacing them with mates. You cannot do that and hope for success.
We've also implemented a number of changes to match the first teams tactics as well as a move from a focus on star individuals to even time spent on every player which is insane to me.
At all levels of the club are those that are not qualified. I'm really struggling to see the logical progression of goalkeeping coach to youth director.

That's complete rubbish. Our youth system is way worse since Ramsay brought his mates in with his FIFA 2016 new QPR ethos. Ramsay can't hold a light to Steve Gallen and what he achieved with little support from the owners.

But it is that lack of support for the youth team over many years, while others right on our doorstep - Fulham and Brentford in particular - have been pouring huge resources into theirs that is the problem here, not "Chris Ramsey and his mates". Previously we had Mark Hughes and his mates - Glynn Hodges and all the Welsh lot. That's what happens, whoever is in charge brings their mates - Joe Jordan and Kevin Bond. It's a factor, but it's not the problem.
Our problems are far more deep rooted than less than a year with Chris Ramsey overseeing bits of things. Though I suspect that's going to fall on deaf ears. The last player we produced for our first team of adequate quality was Ray Jones, before that it was Richard Langley.

I don't know what a FIFA 2016 new QPR ethos, but I must admit it sounds scary.
You can't judge a man on the youth team after 11 months. Players aged 12 who arrived in his time are still 12.
It's not a Ramsey v Gallen contest because Ramsey wasn't in it!

A small drop in results could be a good thing, it might be the result of encouraging better football or an increased focus on technique and learning rather than the final score.

The turnover since Les arrived is uncharacteristic of a normal change in manager or so I am told.
Judging purely on the results, and that's not the be-all and end-all at U18 level, this is surely the worst U18 side in many a year. Is it because our recruitment is poor? Is it because Paul Furlong and team are not a patch on Steve Gallen? Or is it just a blip?
It could be that, even in a struggling side, one or two may develop, but it doesn't look hopeful.
The crunch will come when they start looking to see if any of that side justify any professional contract.

A bit of all of that, plus our youth system has been pathetic for years while Reading (top flight of the junior set up, a league higher than Arsenal even), Brentford, Fulham, Southampton, Spurs have all been throwing money at theirs and scouting our area.

Well whoever told you that (the last bit) is wrong. The turnover was far bigger and carried out less tactfully under Mike Rigg and Glynn Hodges.
