Not saying it's not in a bad way - it might be, but we might also have younger players than Leeds, Leeds might have a big strong team who are able to bully smaller, less-developed players.

The ref really should have given a red card for that Chinese burn on Tomkins Minor in the first half. And several of the smaller boys had their dinner money taken.

Looks like the youth policy is starting to show green roots of recovery on 15:56 - Sep 21 with 2749 views | vegasranger | Although results aren't everything at youth level ,losing 9-2 against a Div 2 North Leeds is pathetic. At the moment 3 of our youth coaches run the first team. They have been replaced by the like s of Paul Hall. It's a complete mess and needs blowing up. Start from scratch. There have been one or two articles from ex coaches and Kevin Gallen has spoken about the politics at the QPR youth level.

Looks like the youth policy is starting to show green roots of recovery on 16:02 - Sep 21 with 2729 views | derbyhoop | The U18s are really struggling at the moment. I don't know if it's because of the type of youngster they can recruit OR whether, since Steve Gallen moved up, the quality of coaching from (Rangers legend) Paul Furlong is responsible. The only plus side is that you can only expect 1 layer per year to graduate to senior level. That could be 1 really good player in a very poor team.

Dave, This is NOT a dig at Les and Chris, its a dig at the whole bloody shebang going back 15 years or so. Of course 6 months isn't anything to go by and they've had a massive upheaval as it seems as though since Chris went 'upstairs', they remain a little in flux. But the results are alarming. By 17-18, teams on 'equal footings' should not be divided by 9 or so goals. Once is bad enough and possibly excusable, but twice is a little alarming. Have they won a game at all this season?

Looks like the youth policy is starting to show green roots of recovery on 16:33 - Sep 21 with 2655 views | Tonto | they are trying to set the club up with the same philosophy from top to bottom - but that takes time. the point is that it helps in the long terms as the kids know what to do if they get to the first team as its ingrained... and because its early days the youths at the clubs don't necessarily fit the requirements. we need to be CAT1 to attract the decent kids. The Chesham alliance and the training ground will go a long way towards that. Its the right idea IMO, but patience required...

Looks like the youth policy is starting to show green roots of recovery on 17:40 - Sep 21 with 2517 views | qprrob59 | The youth set up is in chaos going back years, not helped in anway by Redknapps time here and his old pals act, which is currently being carried on with the clubs policy of recently letting go and getting rid of 2 quality youth coaches and replacing them with ex Spurs assistant youth coaches. One of these coaches offered my son to the club,as he told them he was better than anything the club currently had at U16/18 level and they never even looked at him saying they had all their Scholars, most of which were signed against this coaches recommendation. They recently let a quality keeper go because he's not going to make 6ft 3.You really couldn't make it up.Don't expect anyone to come through for a long time from that age group.
