Sting is a self-righteous tw*t in the Bono mould. Obviously very talented for sure, but a complete and utter. So he makes the band for me. Or Bill Wyman. But probably Sting.
Had a beer with bill wyman about 20 years ago in his sticky fingers caff, he had what looked suspiciously like lavender dyed Barnet ... He was a great host and very funny.. But, as my brother said at the time, ' a bit hard to take seriously'..... I'd still put Gerry mcavoy in the band...( wouldn't entertain String or Bozo in any band).. You R's.

Think Rod Was at his finest on 'In a broken Dream' , Sounds like the angel Gabriel a couple of stages away from having a voice box fitted.
cant listen to' Gasoline alley' without thinking of my departed Uncle Ray singing this, which was his party piece with my dad on the harmonica who unfortunately insisted on playing the theme tune to the whistle test !
a Rod doppleganger and shirt cutter who used to wear his shirts' smiffy' fashion, from the bash street kids with the collar halfway up the back of his head, and used to go to fancy dress parties dressed in a pair of kn ickers with a wig stuffed down them..when asked what he was going as.... he replied " a hairy cu nt'..mostly to policemen who stopped him in the street.
