Well loads of effort, again, but not enough skill. Rotherham attacked with more conviction and quality than we did and deserved to win. We had a great spell 10 minutes before they scored their second and pushed Rotherhams midfield right back into their own defence leaving their two forwards stranded without any support and if we had scored during this spell we would have maybe gone on to win. We didn't and they capitalised when they got a corner and all piled forward and their number 6 toe poked it in from the penalty spot. Sapp came on and lumbered about for the last 10 minutes but we were never going to score. Still if Barnett had put away that easy chance he had early on then it all may have been different. If he can't do it, get the top scorer from the Macc Sunday league signed up in his place, because I'm sure he, whoever he is, could have put that in blindfolded. | |
