Do you know that Mick Mcarthey is really from Chiswick and when away from the cameras his speaking voice is describbed as a mixture between Quentin Crisp and Joe Pasquale with a dash of Charles Hawtrey. He just says he's from Barnsley so FitzoChris will write a blog about him and NordenBlue won't want to meet up with him for cocktails and catch Les Mis.

That's nowt though. The latest is that William Rees Mogg is really from Salford and shops Farmfoods.

Why would I write a blog about someone who claims to be from Barnsley?

Parkie's great, but I don't feel compelled to write a blog about him.

Nor on Mick McCarthy's 'Barnsleyism', as you stated.

McArthy is Irish through and through, and was born in the middle of St Stephen's Green. Anyone saying otherwise is either lying or is a very angry ex Man U but not a roadraging midfielder. (might edit this in June after its gone to Crown Court)

I'm fully aware of that. But historically, be it non league or Premier League, they've achieved far more than Rochdale have and will be seen as a better/bigger club. If that stings, then that's tough shit. It stings me, knowing a club we used to send our rejects to eventually bought their way through the divisions and spent nearly a decade in the top flight and won an FA Cup. Just as it stings seeing Hull City thriving in recent years, Swansea City even.

But that's football. Time's change. And as much as these clubs to me were always fourth tier strugglers etc, they've a decent fanbase similar to ours and it's really stinging out of jealousy, as I'd have loved us to be able to sustain our Premier League experiment. Unfortunately, for various reasons, we've been struggling to recover from our one year up there ever since.

But hey ho. I've said enough now. Four years a member of this forum. I'll stick around to read stuff here and there, but I get the impression I'm no longer wanted in terms of contributing and so I'll happily step back from posting.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Where have I said Wigan's success stings? You're making things up to suit your arguments now.

Wigan have done extremely well and have clearly enjoyed more success than Dale possibly ever will, but it won't last forever. Look at Rushden & Diamonds, for example.

Using your criteria, Wigan are a bigger and better club than Barnsley by virtue of the fact they spent so many years in the Premier League, even though we know that's simply not true.

Why are you throwing your toys out? As far as I can see, only Cedar Room has said you've outstayed your welcome, which I don't agree with, but that's his opinion.

This is a forum and a Rochdale forum at that. People will agree and disagree and when someone is as opinionated and controversial as your goodself, you should be prepared for some of the flak that comes your way.

You do play the victim card rather well well Whitey.

I do however think that you excel yourself when it comes to the bitter bellend card so I can fully understand why people are getting rattled at your sly and underhand comments.

It seems to me that now the honeymoon period is over for midget boy, you're rather frustrated and feel the need to come on here and try and let off some steam.

If that's the case then you're always gonna have a bad time.

To be frank, JimmyRustler, if I posted the kind of stuff you have there, I'd understand. Because not once on this forum have I ever resorted to calling fellow contributors names of an abusive and antagonistic nature. I feel it dulls your opinion when doing that. Which is a shame in this instance because I at least like your avatar, if nothing else about you.

'victim'

'bitter bellend'

'sly'

'underhand'

'midget boy'

No need for any of that. But I will respond regards your little insinuation re Johnson. I feel you're way off the mark there. I haven't altered my way of posting all season. I'm very supportive of your club, forever wishing you luck etc. Of course I sometimes point out a few things that don't sit well, re your gates or your manager being shit when he was here, but that's me being honest.

And we've been shite for the vast majority of the season, so I don't see how you'd think I'm all of a sudden frustrated because we've lost a couple of games under the new manager. I was more frustrated the day we sacked our last manager. I didn't come on here to let off steam then, nor have I now. I'm just posting what I think. You might disagree with my thoughts, but you've no capacity to know my motives.

Btw, are you in any way involved in the production of Rustler's burgers? If so, they're quite nice and a handy snack when short on time/if you're busy etc.

Saw him on a live stream this week, he was playing for East Bengal in the Indian League. I was watching it because Bobby Hassell was playing for the opposition, Bharat FC. The standard of football over there is ridiculously bad. Money's great though.

I think I'll stick around. I mean, it'd be a bit weird to pop off now, when it's very possible that Rochdale and Keith could be laughing last on May 3. I'd be the first on here congratulating you if you beat us and/if you made the playoffs.

And this is where some don't like me - I don't think you'll beat us and I doubt you'll make the playoffs.

Honesty. But big enough to admit I'm wrong, as I have many times in the last four years on here. And, whether folk believe me or not, I WANT Dale to make the playoffs.

I don't want you to beat us though. Not on your nelly.

I didn't say it did sting you. I said 'if' it does.

I've no idea why you're bringing Rushden & Diamonds up. When did they do owt?

Using my criteria, and, any criteria, Wigan are a bigger/better club right now than Barnsley. Historically? I'd say there's little in it. Because it matters not how many years they were non-league. What they've done in the last decade eclipses what we've managed in 127 years. Probably.

My initial point/post was a response to the chap who suggested Rochdale would usurp anything Wigan could achieve. Or words to that effect. I think he was talking daft. I disagreed with him. You then chirped up (as you have quite often in other threads) and focused in on a small part of my argument, ignoring the full context, in what I've assumed was just you wanting to argue. I might be wrong.

I didn't throw my toys out though. I just came on here after midnight, worse for wear and posted like a bitch and flounced off.

Threw my toys out didn't I? Yep.

Ah well.

Honest. Always honest. If sometimes annoying.

The thing is , there is no way we are going to be in position where we are 3 points clear of 7th place come May 3rd - so we will have to beat you to get in the play offs. If it gets as far as that.

I don't think you'll be in with a chance by the time we meet. But, you'd possibly be confirming finishing above us, which would be of some credit to Keith if nothing else. I would then imagine expectations at Dale next season would be higher, and I'm not sure Keith will like that.
